Anxiety is a normal and often healthy emotion, but it can also cause physical symptoms, such as shaking and sweating.
The nervous feeling before an important life event or during a difficult situation is a natural echo of the original ‘fight-or-flight’ reaction.
The symptoms can interfere with daily activities such as job performance, schoolwork, and relationships.
Not doing anything will just increase the fear of the fear. But if you take a risk with a safe person and tell them that you are anxious about something, their warmth and compassion will reduce a large percentage of the feeling, and you will feel relief.

This are two grounding techniques you can do and they can be done at any time, without anyone else knowing that you’re using them.

First, you may want to start with a simple deep breathing exercise called the 5-5-5 method. To do this, you breathe in for 5 seconds, hold your breath for 5 seconds, and then breathe out for 5 seconds.
You can continue this process until your thoughts slow down or you notice some relief.
When you can find your breath, try practicing the 5-4-3-2-1 technique. For that, you want to look around and focus on:

2 things you smell
