Yesterday we celebrated the auspicious day of Guru Purnima. In yogic circles this is a day in which we pay homage to the inner and outer gurus.

Guru means removal of darkness or ignorance. During our ceremony, we celebrated all those people, situations and circumstances that have transformed our ignorance and turned it to awareness.

Guru is a tattwa (element) that resides in each one of us. In order to connect to our own inner guru energy we often need an outer guru to help us remove our blockages that the ego has formed.

On Guru Purnima we bow down in gratitude to all of the teachings and lessons we met through life. We also honor and thank ourselves for our inner guru and for those times we have been a catalyst for someone’s expansion into truth and love.

Yesterday we had a Havan ceremony to honor this day. A Havan ceremony is a fire ceremony in which herbs are offered to the fire in between each round of a mantra that is chanted 108 times.

We’re SO excited to announce thar this September, Mystical Yoga Farm is honored to host a rare Master Plant Shipibo Dieta, guided by Maestro Oscar and a beautiful team of Indigenous wisdom keepers from the Shipibo and Noke Koi traditions.

Jahendo’s dream is to open this temple space to indigenous wisdom keepers. They’re being brought by one of his western teachers and best friends, Julian Lesweet. Julian will also be sharing music and helping tend the space.

What is a Dieta? Over 2 or 4 weeks, you’ll step away from the noise of everyday life and into a simple, intentional rhythm of plant medicine, ceremony, silence, prayer, nourishing food, and deep communion with nature.

Even more special? It will be Held in our newly completed temple, surrounded by the beauty of Lake Atitlán! Truly a magical experience and an opportunity to reconnect with your heart, receive the teachings of the plants, and return home with greater clarity, presence, and purpose.

A Look Inside Our Brand New Templo da Jiboia 🐍🥳✨

Built with so much love, dedication and commitment. And most importantly built with the loving hands and generous donations of our epic MYF community 🙌💗

A true testament to the strength of our community, and the trust we’ve built in the last 6 years cocreating the Mystical Yoga Farmily together. It truly shows how well our work is received , and that so many people believe in our mission! Thank you! 🤗💓

Over 50 people donated, invested, and supported financially. Over 50 local Mayan workers carried every rock, board, sand bag and build this by hand. Over 30 wonderful volunteers and hippies making the gardens and building the bathrooms. 3 visionaries that kept the vision alive, worked out all the design details and anchored in what’s arguably the most unique architectural medicine temple in central America. 💪🔥😺

Made with 4 different types of walls; square stones, colonial stones, river stones (mixed with bottles to make a jaguar skin effect), and cob. All made with natural sand and limestone. With very very little cement, the bare minimum to keep the structure strong. Plus the hardwood floor, stone chakana, mosaic crystal grid fire pit, massive open roofs... And art everywhere, sculptures, and one epic epic mural by [rolando la tinta tag]

Wow! What a truly magical weekend at MYF! Thanks to everyone who came, shared your heart, your energy and your selves with us!

The weekend was full of first time song shares around the fire, awakening in Breathwork, vulnerable shares, heart opening Kirtan, an epic ecstatic dance, sauna and so much more.

I was one of those weekends that make us want to scream “I LOVE IT HERE!” 🫶✨
