Celebrating Our Nurses 💙

Today, as we close off a wonderful week of activities in observance of International Nurses Day, the doctors of Linden Hospital Complex and Upper Demerara Hospital came together to host a special cookout and barbecue in appreciation of our incredible nurses.

The afternoon was filled with laughter, good food, games, karaoke, and heartfelt moments as staff from both institutions spent quality time together celebrating the people who give so much of themselves every single day.

A special highlight of the event was the recognition ceremony led by Sister Jennifer Melville Nelson, who acknowledged several nurses attached to the Upper Demerara Hospital for their outstanding and extraordinary service, dedication, and commitment to patient care.

From dominoes and Ludo to Snakes & Ladders and singing sessions, today reminded us that behind every uniform is a hardworking, compassionate individual deserving of appreciation, joy, and celebration.

To all our nurses, thank you for your resilience, kindness, sacrifice, and unwavering care. Your impact is felt far beyond the walls of the hospital, and we are deeply grateful for all that you do. 💐
