會帶狗狗到公園、海濱或其他公共地方活動的寵主要留意啦~

漁護署宣布，由即日起，將於狗隻聚集的公眾地方加強狗隻牌照巡查及執法行動。巡查期間，執法人員會：

* 掃描狗狗微型晶片
* 核對狗隻牌照是否有效
* 檢查狂犬病疫苗接種紀錄

如發現狗狗未持有有效牌照，將不作警告並直接提出檢控。

根據《狂犬病規例》，所有超過 5 個月大的狗狗均必須持有有效狗隻牌照，而牌照需每隔不超過 3 年續領一次，同時更新狂犬病疫苗。

違例最高可被判罰款 HK$10,000。

如果不確定家中毛孩的狗牌或狂犬病疫苗是否即將到期，建議提早檢查。除了符合相關法例要求，定期更新疫苗亦是保護狗狗及社區動物健康的重要一環。

If you're planning outdoor walks or adventures with your dog, it may be a good time to check that their licence and vaccinations are up to date.

The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) has announced enhanced dog licence inspections and enforcement at public areas where dogs commonly gather.

During inspections, officers may:

* Scan your dog's microchip
* Verify the validity of the dog licence
* Check rabies vaccination records

Dogs found without a valid licence may be prosecuted without prior warning.

Under the Rabies Regulation, all dogs over 5 months of age must hold a valid dog licence. Licences must be renewed at least once every 3 years together with an updated rabies vaccination.

The maximum penalty for non-compliance is a fine of HK$10,000.

A quick check today can help avoid unnecessary issues later. More importantly, keeping vaccinations up to date remains one of the simplest ways to protect your dog and the wider pet community.
