過敏症在香港並不罕見，不少人的日常生活都因濕疹、鼻敏感、哮喘、食物或藥物過敏等問題而感到困擾。準確的診斷、有效的治療，以及日常的預防及護理都對減少出現過敏反應或舒緩過敏症狀非常重要。這亦可大大改善患者及其家人的生活質素。

「中大過敏科」致力於過敏症方面的科學及臨床研究，著重於提升過敏診斷方法的準確度，以及研發過敏症的臨床治療方法。我們亦積極在社區推動有關過敏症的教育及培訓，希望增加患者、其家人及朋友，以及普羅大眾對過敏症的認識，建立一個「過敏友善」的社區。

Allergy is not uncommon in Hong Kong. Eczema, hay fever, asthma, food or drug allergy are impacting on the daily lives of many people. This highlights the importance o

f accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, prevention and management strategies to reduce the occurrence of allergic reactions, and to relieve allergic symptoms. This will greatly improve the quality of life of patients and their families. CUHK Allergy Team is devoted to scientific and clinical research on allergy, aiming to improve the accuracy of diagnostic methods and to develop novel clinical treatments for allergies. We are also proactive in promoting allergy awareness and knowledge in the community by providing education and training, in the hopes of building an "allergy-friendly" community.
