有見及此，港安醫療與位於跑馬地的本港首個高端「持續照顧退休社區」（CCRC）曦蕓居正式簽署合作備忘錄，建立系統性醫療協作，實踐私營醫院與長者社區的無縫連接。

曦蕓居由其士集團與基督復臨安息日會港澳區會共同建立，與港安醫療「全人照護」理念一脈相承。是次合作建基於適時的信息對接、靈活的個案安排及出院後跟進等核心原則，涵蓋24小時緊急醫療協調、心臟專科支援及預防性健康管理，讓住戶在熟悉的社區環境中，也能獲得及時、連貫的醫療照護。

【Adventist Health Hong Kong Partners with Ventria Residence to Pioneer an Integrated "Medical-Social" Care Model】

Hong Kong's healthcare system has long focused on "treating illness," while elderly care services center on "daily living support." This divide often means that seniors living in care communities may not receive timely medical support during critical moments.

To bridge this gap, Adventist Health Hong Kong has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Ventria Residence – Hong Kong's first premium Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in Happy Valley – establishing a systematic medical collaboration that enables seamless integration between a private hospital and a senior living community.

Ventria Residence is jointly developed by Chevalier Group and the Hong Kong-Macau Conference of the Seventh-day Adventists, sharing the same "Whole-person Health" philosophy as Adventist Health Hong Kong. Built on core principles of timely information exchange, flexible case coordination, and post-discharge follow-up, this partnership covers 24/7 emergency medical coordination, cardiology support, and preventive health management – ensuring that residents can receive prompt, continuous medical care within the comfort of their own community.

"This partnership aims to bring professional medical support closer to where seniors live, advancing the 'medical-social integration' model in Hong Kong," said Mr. Andy Cen, Chief Operating Officer of Adventist Health Hong Kong.

【Easy ways to boost protein in meals】
Cancer patients often have higher protein needs compared to the general population to support tissue repair and recovery. Therefore, it is important to include sufficient protein in each meal to meet their special needs. Some simple ways to boost protein intake include:

1. Sprinkle seeds or nuts over yogurt, oatmeal, or salads.
2. Whisk eggs into oatmeal, boiling broth, or desserts.
3. Blend tofu or beans into soups or congee.
4. Add shredded cheese to omelettes, vegetables, or pasta.
5. Choose tofu pudding, steamed egg pudding, or mixed bean sweet soup for dessert.
6. Substitute water with soy milk or milk for hot cereal.

在8月上旬，職業安全及健康部舉辦了「員工健康日」，主題為「夏日清涼，健康有你」。希望大家在炎炎的夏日，也能透過參與活動，感受到陣陣清涼，並保持身心健康。

In the early days of August, the Occupational Safety & Health Department held “Staff Health Day” themed “Cool Summer, Healthy You.” We hope to bring a refreshing sense of coolness to staff during the scorching summer distributing participant gifts including ice-cream and drinks, while helping everyone stay healthy both physically and mentally.

During the event, we shared information on occupational safety with our colleagues and also held a variety of fun games. The activities encouraged everyone to take steps toward better health through healthy lifestyle and emotional release.

【Prostate Cancer Health Seminar – Highlights Recap】
Hong Kong Adventist Hospital – Stubbs Road, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society, successfully held a prostate cancer health seminar on 13 August. The event was well-received, with an engaged audience and a steady stream of questions throughout the session.

Our Consultant in Urology, Dr. Ma Wai Kit, shared the latest trends in prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment, and explored various clinical approaches currently in use, including robotic-assisted surgery and electroporation focal ablation for early-stage cases. Dr. Ma also explained the distinguishing features of each technique and how treatment decisions are made based on individual patient conditions in clinical practice.

Dr. Ma emphasized that every treatment option has its own indications, benefits, and potential risks. Patients are encouraged to have thorough discussions with their attending physicians to weigh the pros and cons and determine the most suitable treatment pathway for their specific needs.

【Protein content of foods】
Sufficient protein is essential for wound healing after surgery and tissue repair following chemotherapy or radiation therapy. During this period, the body’s demand for protein may increase. Thus, including protein-rich foods in your daily meals can help meet these higher needs. Below are examples of the average protein content per serving of various foods:

• 6g per 1 large egg
• 18g per 1 cup (156 g) shelled and cooked edamame
• 12g per 150g firm tofu
• 12g per 1 cup (125ml) Greek yogurt
• 6g per 30g almonds
• 8g per 1 cup (250ml) cooked quinoa

People with kidney disease may have different protein requirements during cancer treatment. Please consult a doctor or dietitian for personalized advice.
