與輪椅美工師一同延續免費輪椅維修支援
對許多輪椅使用者來說，輪椅就像是他們的雙腿。然而，當維修費用動輒數千甚至過萬元時，維持出行便成了一個沉重的負擔。這正是香港超過 74,200 名輪椅使用者正面對的現實。
自 2023 年以來，位於荃灣TML的輪椅美工師工作室，提供免費的輪椅維修、縫紉服務、個性化改裝及社區教育，至今已惠及 3,828 人次。一個合適的工作室空間，對於安全地開展這些免費服務，並繼續支持嚴重肢體殘疾人士及其照顧者至關重要。我們在 Give.Asia 平台開設了籌款項目，為未來一年的租金、電費、清潔費及其他營運開支籌集善款。

Continue Free Wheelchair Support with 1st Step
For many wheelchair users, a wheelchair is like a pair of legs. But when repairs cost thousands, or even over ten thousand, dollars, staying mobile can become a heavy burden. This is the reality faced by over 74,200 wheelchair users in Hong Kong.
Since launching in 2023, 1st Step’s Wheelchair Artisan Workshop has provided free wheelchair repairs, sewing services, customization, and community education, serving a total of 3,828 beneficiaries. A suitable workshop space is essential to carry out these free services safely and continue supporting people with severe physical disabilities and their caregivers.
We have launched a fundraising campaign on the Give.Asia platform to raise funds for the Wheelchair Artisan Workshop’s rent, electricity, cleaning , and other operating expenses for the coming year.
