【全球教育峰會 2026︱培育未來醫療人才】
IHH醫療（北亞洲）區域首席執行官、港怡醫院執行總裁曾慶亷醫生獲邀出席由滙豐卓越理財與《南華早報》合辦的「全球教育峰會 2026」，在專題論壇環節中，曾醫生與醫療及生物科技界領袖共同探討如何培育新一代醫療人才，協助他們為醫療科技迅速發展及醫療模式不斷演變所帶來的機遇與挑戰做好準備。
曾醫生指出，從醫之路漫長且充滿挑戰，但同時充滿意義和成就感。要成為一位優秀的醫生，卓越的學術表現和專業知識固然重要，但同理心、關愛精神、求知慾、適應能力及終身學習的態度同樣不可或缺，才能提供全面且以病人為本的醫療服務。
作為香港大學醫療系統教學醫院，港怡醫院一直致力透過臨床培訓、師友指導及臨床實踐，為年輕醫護人員提供多元學習和發展機會。曾醫生強調，優秀的醫生不僅要具備專業能力，更要保持謙遜及持續求知的精神，樂於向不同專業團隊成員學習，包括資深醫生、護士及專職醫療人員，以提升醫療服務質素及病人治療成效。
曾醫生亦以自身由醫生走到管理人員的職涯歷程，寄語年輕醫護人員保持開放態度，積極學習和善用人工智能等創新科技，以適應醫療行業的快速轉變，並時刻謹記醫學核心在於人與人之間的聯繫與關懷。他亦鼓勵年輕人探索醫療領域多元的發展方向，包括臨床服務、管理、教學及醫療創新等範疇。
醫療的未來，由下一代共同守護。港怡將繼續與各界攜手合作，為年輕一代創造更多學習與發展機會，培育具備專業知識、人文關懷與創新精神的醫療人才，為醫療發展注入新動力。
【Inspiring the next generation of healthcare leaders at Global Education Summit 2026】
Dr Kenneth Tsang, Regional CEO of IHH Healthcare North Asia and CEO of Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong, was invited to speak at the Global Education Summit 2026, co-organised by HSBC Premier and South China Morning Post. During the panel discussion, he joined leaders from the healthcare and biotechnology sectors to share insights on nurturing future healthcare talent and preparing them for an increasingly complex, technology-driven healthcare landscape.
Dr Tsang highlighted that while medicine is a demanding and lifelong journey, it is also one of the most rewarding professions. Academic excellence remains important, but the qualities that truly define outstanding doctors extend far beyond medical knowledge. Empathy, compassion, adaptability, curiosity and a commitment to lifelong learning are equally vital to delivering holistic, patient-centred care.
As an affiliate teaching hospital of The University of Hong Kong Health System, Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong is committed to nurturing future healthcare talent through clinical training, mentorship and hands-on exposure. Dr Tsang emphasised the importance of humility, continuous learning and multidisciplinary collaboration. He noted that young doctors learn not only from senior clinicians, but also from nurses, allied health professionals and colleagues across the care continuum.
Drawing on his own journey from clinician to healthcare management, Dr Tsang encouraged students to remain open-minded, embrace emerging technologies such as AI and stay adaptable in a rapidly changing healthcare landscape, while never losing sight of the human connection at the heart of medicine. He also advised young people to explore the diverse career pathways available in healthcare, including clinical practice, management, education and healthcare innovation.
The future of healthcare will be shaped by the next generation.
