What happens when Lake Hévíz enters the world of Minecraft? The participants of the Creative Science summer camp showed us! This time, the children not only explored Hévíz but also set to work recreating the lake and its surroundings using the game’s iconic blocks.

✈️ Hévíz–Balaton Airport to Receive HUF 1.2 Billion in Funding

Further significant support will help secure the operation and future development of Hévíz–Balaton Airport: the airport in Sármellék will receive HUF 1.2 billion in government funding.

The funding provides a stable foundation for the airport’s operations, while attention is already turning to future opportunities. Plans include exploring possibilities for developing new flight connections in 2027 and creating a sustainable long-term operating model. 🌍

Developing international air connections could open up new opportunities for Hévíz and the Western Balaton region. The aim is to make the region even more accessible to international travellers and attract more visitors to Hévíz and the surrounding towns in the future. 🧳

The government will provide HUF 1.2 billion in funding to support the operation of Sármellék Airport this year. For Hévíz and tourism in the region, however, the key question is what comes next. Will new international flights be brought to the western Balaton region?

The campaign is also running in pharmacies, on public transport and across a variety of other advertising platforms, inspiring German travellers to discover Lake Balaton and its surrounding destinations.
