CINELLI / 5 PALLENI - It is with childish amazement that I receive the unexpected homage of the Roman composer and guitarist Emanuele Cinelli who dedicated to me this splendid piece of music, being part of a collection of compositions dedicated to more or less known artists of the world, including the American Bill Frisell and the Abruzzese Luigi Pizzaleo.

Cinelli did not limit himself to didactically tracing the style of each of these, demonstrating great plasticity and eclecticism, but he managed to impress in each piece his personal poetics imbued with delicacy and spirituality.

A KIND OF MUSIC YOGA - I was recently invited by RRI2, Radio Republik Indonesia, to present a book that I have been working on for about a year soon to be released. I would like to report here an excerpt from the broadcast which briefly shed some light on the work, its contents and purposes.

SEJENIS YOGA MUSIK - Baru-baru ini saya diundang oleh RRI2, Radio Republik Indonesia, untuk mempresentasikan buku yang sudah saya kerjakan kurang lebih setahun yang akan segera terbit. Di sini saya ingin melaporkan cuplikan siaran yang secara singkat menjelaskan karya tersebut, isi dan tujuannya.

ON AIR! - Today at 4pm I will be at Radio Republic Indonesia / RRI2 to present a new book that I have been working on for quite a while now: it is a new method for musicians of all levels on how to develop an original artistic personality, improve one's performance ability, overcome difficulties and above all having fun playing music! I will also follow some pieces from my Contemporary Raga repertoire to give a practical demonstration. Stay tuned!!

RAGA VARSA - Is out now on ORCHARD OF SOUNDS a brief essay about my new Raga VARSA as part of the CONTEMPORARY RAGA collection, in collaboration with Emanuele Cinelli. After a long gestation, what emerged is a mini-suite as an attempt of describing the sensations associated with the arrival of the monsoon, which repeats itself on the Asian continent since time immemorial, bringing along fertility and life. This is certainly the raga that required the most work and dedication to keep the motivation alive and finally see it completed. 🇮🇹 UN APPROCCIO ALL'IMPROVVISAZIONE MODALE 2 - È uscita su Orchards Of Sounds la seconda parte del mio nuovo articolo. Si mette in luce come una volta che si è disvelato l’universo sonoro ed è stata acquisita la padronanza dei suoi elementi, si impone la naturale necessità di porre l’attenzione sulle qualità espressive ed onomatopeiche della musica. Entrano quindi in gioco altre forze dinamiche che attraversano tutti gli aspetti della vita: tra queste, ad un livello intermedio e vicino alla vita quotidiana, troviamo l'intera gamma dei sentimenti che rispecchia nelle relazioni umane. L’artista esperto è quindi in grado di imbrigliare e incanalare queste forze nella musica in modo che questa sia dotata di forza vitale.

🇬🇧 AN APPROACH TO MODAL IMPROVISATION 2 - This is the second part of my new article is out on Orchards Of Sounds. I will try to expose how once the sonic universe is opened up and we have acquired control of its elements, it’s possible to focus on the expressive and onomatopoeic qualities of music. Then other dynamic forces and energies that run through all aspects of life come into play. At an intermediate level, nearer to everyday life we find the whole range of human feelings mirrored by human feelings and relationships. The accomplished artist is capable of harnessing and channeling these forces into music so that it’s endowed with vital force.

🇮🇹 UN APPROCCIO ALL'IMPROVVISAZIONE MODALE 1 - È appena uscito sul sito di VAATA il mio nuovo articolo che fa parte di una serie dedicata alla musica creativa. Vaata è un'etichetta discografica che propone una musica celestiale che sembra creata apposta per quietare lo spirito. In questa dissertazione viene illustrato un possibile approccio all'improvvisazione partendo dalle premesse della musica greca antica. Il saggio è diviso in due parti, la seconda verrà pubblicata breve. Questo metodo è particolarmente indicato per il musicista che desidera sviluppare uno stile personale per seguire un percorso originale e creativo.
