Although held a little later, the spirit of Eid remains the same. The Plastic Surgery Program of FKKMK UGM gathered for a belated Halal Bihalal and Syawalan event (1447 H) as a meaningful moment to reconnect, strengthen our bonds, and share forgiveness in a warm and family-like atmosphere.

Our student exchange participant, Yusef, M.D. (Australia), had the opportunity to join the operation alongside our Plastic Surgery supervisor, Aditya Wicaksana, M.D.

Today’s case was a left zygomaticomaxillary complex (ZMC) fracture, managed with facial bone reconstruction. This experience provided valuable exposure to trauma and reconstructive surgery while strengthening clinical learning through direct operative involvement.

We hope this collaboration continues to build meaningful connections between students and further expand our university-to-university partnership through shared knowledge and professional exchange. ✨
