The death has occurred of Tommy Knowles, De La Salle Crescent, Ardee, Co. Louth, who passed away at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, on Wednesday, 14th October 2026.

Predeceased by his darling wife Marie.

Tommy will be sadly missed by his devoted children Majella, Christina, Ron and Tammy, sons-in-law Ronan, Gavin and Simon, daughter-in-law Eimear, his nine cherished grandchildren Tiernan, Felicity, Charlie, Jason, Harry, Jamie, Bobby, Alfie and Tiernan, sisters and brother Kitty (Carrie), Aileen (Murray) and Mattie, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Tony Gillespie, Stickillen, Ardee, Co. Louth, who passed away at Moorehall Lodge on Wednesday, 7th October 2026, aged 85 years.

Predeceased by his parents William and Catherine, sisters Phyllis (McCormack) and Anne (Matthews), and brothers Peter, Francie, Billy, Patsy, Nina and Joe.

Tony will be sadly missed by his loving wife Claire, children Sandra (Bruce), Derek (Tracey) and Glenda (Aidan), grandchildren Aoibheann, Eoin, Emma, Ruth, Cillian and Niamh, sister Pauline (McMahon), brother Ollie, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

The Death has occurred of Patricia Duff (née Neary), Hilltop Terrace, Ardee, Co. Louth, who passed away at Ferdia Lodge, Ardee, on Thursday, 24th September 2026, in her 90th year.

Predeceased by her husband Patrick, son Paul, daughter Susan and son-in-law Vincent.

Patricia will be sadly missed by her children Rosemary, James (Christine), Letty (Francis), Michael (Rossella) and Julie (Denis), her 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Paddy Higgins, Cappocksgreen, Ardee, Co. Louth, who passed away peacefully at Moorehall Nursing Home on Tuesday, 22nd September 2026, in his 90th year.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Rosie, son Derek and grandson Dean. Paddy will be sadly missed by his beloved sons David and Barry, daughter Shirley, daughters-in-law Jelena and Ruth, grandchildren Karl, Luke, Christopher, Chloe, Luka, Stefan and Conal, brother Gerry, sisters Betty and Rosemary, his loving first cousin Liz, extended family, relatives and friends.

It is with great sadness that we learned this morning of the sudden passing of Fr Mark O’Hagan, Parish Priest of Ardee, Collon and Ballapousta.

Fr Mark had only recently joined our parish, following more than two decades of dedicated ministry to the people of Dundalk. Although his time among us was all too brief, his sudden passing will be deeply felt throughout our parish and by the many people and communities whose lives he touched during his years of priestly ministry.

We extend our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Fr Mark’s family and friends, his fellow clergy, his former parishioners in Dundalk, and to all those mourning his loss here in Ardee, Collon and Ballapousta.

This evening, from 7.00pm to 8.00pm, in the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, Ardee, there will be an opportunity for our parish community to gather together in prayer for Fr Mark and for the consolation of all those who mourn his passing.

May Father Mark rest in peace.

The death has occurred of Alice Meade (née Levins), Drakestown, Smarmore, Ardee, Co. Louth, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Moorehall Nursing Home, Ardee, on Wednesday, 16th September 2026, aged 88 years.

Predeceased by her husband John Meade, grandson Keith Lynch, parents Margaret and Frank, and brothers Francie, John, Pat and Syl.

Alice will be sadly missed by her children Matthew, Frank, John, David, Declan, Angela, Paddy and Anne and their partners, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, siblings Marie, Peggy, Marcella, Ita, Gretta, Kevin and Cepta, sister-in-law Moyra, extended family, relatives and friends.

The death has occurred of Carmel Callan (née Walshe), Greenan, Drumconrath, Co. Meath and formerly of Doninga, Goresbridge, Co. Kilkenny and most recently of Beaufort House Nursing Home, Navan, Co.Meath.

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff of Newgrange 2 Ward, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda on Wednesday September 9th, 2026.

Beloved wife of the late Nicky and dearly loved mother of Susan, Shauna, Jimmy, Nick, Noel and Enda. Carmel will be sadly missed by her loving daughters-in-law Joanne, Emma and Tara, sons-in-law Enda and Ciarán, her adored grandchildren Seán, Senan, Danny, Emma, Olan, Lily, Daisy and Fionn, her brothers Fr. Predeceased by his daughter Eileen and brothers Oliver and James. The death has occurred of Jason Finlay, Casteguard Manor, Ardee, Co. Louth. Jason passed away peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, surrounded by his loving family, on 17th August 2026.

Jason will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his heartbroken beloved wife Pamela, adored sons Jake, Sean, Shane, Luke and Trey, and precious daughter Meadow.
