Our dear Friend & Former Colleague
John (Doc) Doherty
Athlone and Drumhillock, Gurteen, Co.Sligo.
Retired member of The Irish Defence Forces and Late of Egans Coaches.

February 2nd 2026 peacefully
In the wonderful care of the staff at
Roscommon University Hospital,
surrounded by his family.

Predeceased by his parents Eddie and Annie Teresa and his beloved brother Eamonn.
Beloved brother of Declan (Valerie), Joe, Michael (Carol) and his sister Aisling Stephenson (Brian). John will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews - Keith, Eoin, Evan, Shelly, Carah, Dylan, Andrew, Ciara, Jake, Emma, Oisin and Noah, great nieces and nephews Frankie, Miley, Chloe, Tommy, Jake and all his friends.
With special mention of his lifetime friends Padraig and Laura.

May his Gentle soul Rest in Peace.

John will repose at the home of his sister Aisling, Carrantemple, Gurteen, Co.Sligo. F56AX90
From 4pm-7pm Wednesday Febuary 4th,
Funeral mass on Thursday Febuary 5th at midday in St.Patricks church, Gurteen.

surrounded by his loving family,

Pre-Deceased by his parents James and Sheila and brother Frank.

Dearly beloved husband of Mairead (Larkin) and cherished father of Lorcain (Evelyn), James (Rebecca) and Seán (Lucy). A devoted and much loved grandfather of Fionn, Cillian, Oliver, Edward, Arthur and Freya. Dear brother of Padraic,

Michael will be deeply regretted and fondly remembered by his entire circle of family and friends.

May He Rest In Eternal Peace

Reposing at home and open to visitors from tomorrow (Thurs) and Friday between the hours of 12 noon and 9pm. Removal at 10:15am on Saturday 24th for 11am requiem mass in St Patricks Church Dromintee and will be live streamed on the Dromintee Parish FB page via the link below. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Sli An Aifrinn Athlone

(formerly of Heatherview, Ballinahown) passed away peacefully, on 3rd August, 2025, in the compassionate care of the staff of South Westmeath Hospice surrounded by his loving wife Iris, daughters Denise & Olga and grandson Bryan.

Sadly missed by his extended family, Rose, Peter, Brid, Jimmy, Anne & Kate. Brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Bridget Corrigan and beloved sister Maureen Claffey.

Fintan Nally
Clonbonny, Athlone, Westmeath

Peacefully following an illness bravely borne at home surrounded by his loving family and his carer Doris.

Predeceased by his parents, Frank & Elizabeth Nally - Mardyke Street, Athlone, his brothers Vincent & Brendan and his sisters in law, Carmel & Mary.

Fintan will be sadly missed by his loving wife and best friend Bridie, his son Francis and daughters Claire, Pauline & Anita, daughter in law, Eimear, sons in law, Patrick & Declan and Pauline's partner Robert. His adored grandchildren, Aaron, Killian, Mia, Amy, Gráinne, Michael, Ava, Darragh, Eoghan, Sarah, Orla, Niamh & Denise, nieces, nephews and extended family & friends.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to Irish Cancer Care or Westmeath Palliative Care.

Fintan, will repose at his son's residence on Thursday 3rd April, 2025 from 4pm to 7pm (N37 V0V2)

In order to facilitate traffic management, there will be a one way traffic system in place, entering at Michael Moore's Garage, Dublin Road, Athlone (Eircode - N37 H548) and exiting at Golden Island, Athlone.

Fintan's funeral mass will be held in. St Mary's Church, Athlone, Friday 4th April 2025 at 10.30am. Burial afterwards will be in Donegan, Mount Temple, Moate, Co Westmeath.
