Our members were delighted to provide ambulance cover this evening for the Hollister Annual 5K Fun Run in support of three fantastic local charities: Teach an Uisce, Network Bloom and Sunflower Hospice.

It was a brilliant community event, with a great atmosphere from start to finish, and it was wonderful to see so many people coming together to support such worthy causes. A really enjoyable evening was had by all!

We were also delighted to hear from guest speaker Dave Fitz, VHI Ambassador, whose words added to what was a fantastic evening celebrating community spirit and supporting local charities.

A huge well done to Hollister for once again giving back to the local community and supporting these deserving charities. Your continued commitment to making a positive difference is truly commendable.

A huge thank you to all our members who covered the Mayo homecoming at Ballina Stephenites GAA yesterday. With around 15,000 spectators, your teamwork was outstanding. Special thanks to the Castlebar Unit for providing a second ambulance and crew, and to Dr Martha Collins, Dr Lisa Cunningham Guthrie, and Dr Sean Moffat for their assistance. From Ballina we travelled on to Crossmolina and then Belmullet, with crowds lining the roads in every village. Thanks to the Gardaí for arranging an es**rt from Bellacorick to Belmullet so we could attend to a patient quickly. A busy day, but thankfully nothing too serious.
Well done to everyone involved.

A huge thank you to Darren Blaine from D’Barista Coffee Stand & D’s Ices for his incredibly kind donation of the proceeds from tonight’s 5K, held in memory of the late Marian Browne.

Your generosity and support mean so much to everyone at Ballina Order of Malta Ambulance Corps. Community spirit like yours makes a real difference, and we are truly grateful for your kindness and for choosing to support our voluntary organisation.

Thank you once again, Darren. Your generosity is sincerely appreciated.

We would also like to congratulate Marian’s son, our colleague and friend, Peter Browne, on completing the 5K in honour of his late mum—and achieving a personal best in the process! 🏃‍♂️

Well done, Peter. We’re all incredibly proud of you, and we’re sure your mum would be proud too. 💚❤️

❤️ Thank You from the Bottom of Our Hearts 🤍

This weekend reminded us just how incredible our community is.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our cadets on their journey to the All-Ireland Competition, whether through our ‘Wear Red Day’, our annual bag pack, or by cheering us on along the way. Your generosity gave our cadets the opportunity to train, travel, compete, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

And what a weekend it was! Our cadets returned home with 4 All-Ireland titles, 1 All-Ireland runner-up, and so many proud moments.

To every cadet who represented the Ballina Cadet Unit, you should be immensely proud. Your dedication, teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship were an inspiration. Medals are only part of the story; the friendships, confidence, and experiences gained are the real victories.

A special thank you to:
🏫 Moyne College
🏫 Jesus & Mary Secondary School, Gortnor Abbey
🏫 St. Muredach's College
🏫 Cooneal National School

To every school, family, teacher, volunteer, donor, and supporter—thank you for believing in our cadets. These achievements belong to our entire community, and we couldn't have done it without you.

This success belongs to all of you. ❤️💙

🇲🇽🌵 The National Cadet Competitions have officially begun… and our team has kicked things off in style! 🌵🇲🇽

Our members are getting into the spirit of the weekend with a fantastic Mexican-themed first night in Lisnaskea, County Fermanagh. Sombreros, ponchos and plenty of smiles – what a way to start an unforgettable weekend! 🌮🎉

Now it’s time for the serious part. We want to wish each and every one of our cadets the very best of luck in the National Cadet Competitions. You have all worked incredibly hard to get here, showing dedication, commitment and teamwork every step of the way. No matter the results, you’ve already made us immensely proud.

Go out there, give it your all, enjoy every moment, and most importantly, do yourselves proud – just as you’ve done us proud throughout your preparation. ❤️💚

A huge congratulations and well done to all of our leaders too. Your countless hours of planning, training, encouragement and support have helped make this weekend possible. Your hard work behind the scenes never goes unnoticed, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything you do. ❤️💚

🇲🇽 Our Leader Team means business this weekend… or do they? 🌵🌮

As you can clearly see, our leadership team is taking their responsibilities very seriously this weekend… every important decision is being made with sombreros firmly in place and moustaches that command respect! 😎🌮

We’re bringing teamwork, laughter, and just a little bit of fiesta spirit to camp. The only thing we’re missing is a mariachi band… although we’re pretty sure someone has already volunteered! 🎺😂

Nacho average leadership team! 🌮🤣

Have a fantastic weekend, everyone! 🇲🇽🎉
