Paddy Lavelle, ‘The Eagle Bar’, Corclough West, Belmullet, Co. Mayo peacefully in the wonderful care of the Staff of Belmullet Community Hospital surrounded by his loving family on 13th August 2026.

Predeceased by his wife Sadie, son in law Pat Prendergast, parents Patsy and Bridget Lavelle, sister Bridie Kirwan, brothers Tom, John, Jim, Willie and Bernie.

Beloved father of Beatie, James and Patrick and cherished grandfather to Emma and Sarah. He will sadly missed by his family, Patrick’s husband Marco, Emma’s husband John, Sarah’s husband Jack, sister Mary Murray (Manchester), sisters in law Goretti Lavelle (Ardoone, Belmullet), Mary Ann Lavelle (Corclough West, Belmullet) and Mary Duffy (Cleveland, U.S.A.), brothers in law Jim Keane (Athlone) and Patsy Keane (New York), nieces, nephews, kind neighbours and many friends.

Paddy will lie in repose at his residence (Eircode -F26 CF97) on Saturday from 2pm until 7pm. Funeral will arrive at the Church of the Holy Family, Carne on Sunday for Funeral Mass at 12 o’clock followed by burial in Tarmoncarra Cemetery.

Predeceased by her parents James and Mary Padden, brothers John and Patrick, sister Annie and nieces Maureen and Anne Togher.

Beloved sister of Mary. She will be sadly missed by her sister, sister in law Mary Kate Padden (Ardmore, Binghamstown), nieces, nephews, relatives, staff of the Áras Deirbhle Nursing Home and friends.

Beloved husband of Claire and dear father of Dave, Jacqueline, Michael, Lorraine, Fran, Breda, Sharon and Geoff. Predeceased by his parents Mary Ann (née Moran) and Martin Togher and his brothers Mattie, Paddy, and Richie. Sadly missed by his sisters Bennie (Boston, USA), Mary (Bristol) and Annie (Glenisland), his brother-in-law Dominick, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends in Luton.
