Deirdre McCarthy (née Boyd), Birr Road, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Birr, Co. Offaly, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on August 21st, 2026 in the exceptional care of Millford Care Centre Limerick, having been previously cared for in St. Vincents Private Hospital, Dublin.

Predeceased by her parents Dan and Rita.

She will be forever loved and sadly missed by her husband Ray, her sons Daniel, Brian and Thomas,
daughter Kate (Collier), son-in-law Ciarán, daughter-in-law Claire, Brian and Thomas’s partners Lisa and Olivia, her cherished grandchildren; Heidi, Sonny, Síofra, Sophie and Lucy, her brothers Donal and Paul, sister Mary (Quinlan), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and her many great friends and neighbours.

May her kind, fun and gentle soul Rest In Peace.

Deirdre will be Reposing at Boyd's Funeral Home, Birr (R42YF75) on Sunday evening from 5pm.-7pm.
Removal from her home on Monday morning at 10.15am.
to arrive at St. Brendan’s Church, Birr at 10.45am. for Funeral Mass at 11am., followed by burial in Clonoghill Cemetery, Birr.

Died peacefully on Friday, August 21st, 2026, in the care of The Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore.

Predeceased by his parents John and Norah Gill.

Much loved husband of Linda.
Father of Fiona, Sharon, David, Trevor, Stephen, Andrew, and Kristina. Deeply missed by his daughters and sons-in-law, his fifteen grandchildren, brother Henry and sister Myrtle, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Boyds Funeral Home, Birr Co. Offaly
(R42 YF75) on Saturday 22nd from 5-7pm.
Removal from his home on Sunday 23rd, at 1.15pm to arrive at St Brendan's Church of Ireland, Birr, Co. Offaly for Funeral Service commencing at 2:30pm.
Burial afterwards in Clonoghill Cemetery, Birr.

Mary Power (née McDonagh), 10 Mill Street Birr, Co. Offaly and formerly of Tullamore, died August 16th, 2026, peacefully in the care of the staff of The Brosna Unit, Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore, after a brief illness.

Predeceased by her husband Golly, children Luke, vincent Thomas and Helen, her grandson’s Eamonn and Richard and great-grandson Christopher.

Deeply regretted by her loving partner John, her daughters; Mary, Bridget, Bernadette, Crystal, Jenny , her son’s; Barney, Michael and James, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her brother’s and sister’s, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbour’s and a wide circle of friends.

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his daughter Zofia (Dunia) and son-in-law Rafał (Bakro), his son Stanisław and daughter-in-law Sonia; his cherished grandchildren Rafał, Oskar and his wife along with their children Dominik and Michaela, David and his wife Kamila, Natalia, her husband Martin and their sons Mateo and Fabian, Melisa, her husband Fergal and their son Mason, Alessio, Adriano, and Nataniel; extended family, neighbours, and a wide circle of friends.

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Philomena peacefully on 23rd of June 2026, in her 92nd year. She died surrounded by her loving and devoted family, in the excellent care of the staff at Camcor, Birr Community Nursing Unit.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Mike, sisters; Moira, Cecelia, Anne, Teresa, Pauline and her brother Paddy.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her children John, Yvonne and Margaret, her daughter in law Michéle,sons in law PJ and John. Sadly missed also by her cherished grandchildren Eoghan, Katelyn and Amber, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Roscrea Road, and formerly of Market Square, Birr, Co. Offaly,
passed away suddenly but peacefully at home, on June 17th, 2026, in his 84th year.

Pre-Deceased by his parents Arthur and Margaret (Peggy), his infant son Donnacha and his sisters Daphne, Padda and Gwen.

Deeply regretted by his beloved wife Eileen, his daughter Jade and her partner Mikey, his son Desmond "Dessie Jr." and his adored granddaughter Aibhe.
He will be sadly missed by his brothers David, Ken, and Ronnie, his sisters Paula (Tomlin), Valerie (Coleman) and Carly (Hoffman), brothers and sisters-in-law, Desmond's ex-partner Teresa and her family, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

As per his wishes, Des's Funeral will be strictly private. His residence and family residence’s are also strictly private.
A celebration of Des's life will be held at a later date.

Cremation Service will take place on Friday, June 19th at
12 noon.

Elga is predeceased by her husband Vasilij.
