Medicore Medical Services were delighted to be asked to provide oxygen technicians, advanced life support ambulances, and critical care infrastructure to the first ever NFL league game in Ireland, as the Pittsburgh Steelers took on the Minnesota Vikings. We were proud to work alongside and support an outstanding multidisciplinary medical team — including embedded team physicians, athletic therapists, emergency physicians, orthopaedic specialists, emergency consultants, pitch retrieval specialists, advanced nurse practitioners, and radiographers — with further support from the Mater Hospital and expert input from the UPMC Sports Medicine Centre.

The event was a tremendous success, both on and off the field. From a medical perspective, the seamless collaboration between all teams ensured world-class standards of safety and care throughout the game. We are honoured to have played our part in such a historic sporting occasion and to continue setting the benchmark for event medical support in Ireland.

🚨 IMPORTANT SAFETY ALERT: DefibTech AED Pads 🚨

If you or your organization uses DefibTech AED machines, please be aware of a recent Field Safety Notice issued regarding some of their AED pads. There have been reports of pads with unofficially altered or modified labels, which could affect their performance in an emergency situation.

🔴 What you need to do:

Check your DefibTech AED pads immediately.
If you notice any discrepancies or altered labels, contact the manufacturer or your supplier right away.
Make sure your AED machines and pads are fully functional to ensure they work when needed.
This is a crucial reminder to regularly inspect your AED equipment and stay informed about any potential safety issues. Don’t hesitate to take action—lives could depend on it!

'Twas the night before Christmas, at Medicore Ambulance's bay,
The ambulance team finished their shift, ready for holiday.
Vehicles cleaned, hopes for a peaceful night's rest,
In this season of joy, they longed for what's best.

Whispers of wishes for colleagues more true,
A future where their work brought comfort anew.
Driving away, they hoped for joy and good cheer,
A Christmas filled with love, as the new year draws near.

With Christmas ham waiting and families to see,
They cherished their role in helping patients with glee.
Ensuring folks got home for the holiday so dear,
Their mission was clear, spreading goodwill and cheer.

Yet mindful they were of those far from their kin,
Unable to get home, their hearts felt the spin.
So they worked with compassion, their duty well known,
To bring warmth and solace where it wasn't shown.

As the night grew darker and stars brightly shone,
They wished all their colleagues a homecoming of their own.
With hearts full of gratitude for the work they'd all do,
They said, "Merry Christmas to our amazing staff and crew!"

May this season of giving bring joy and delight,
To each tireless worker who serves day and night.
So here's to the heroes who always come through,
Merry Christmas to all, and thank you for you!
