Tomorrow is conference day!

Throughout the year, Dr Ciara McKenna writes the monthly newsletter for the Menopause Society of Ireland, helping to keep members up to date with the latest research, guidance and developments in menopause care.

Tomorrow, much of that learning comes together at the Menopause Society of Ireland Annual Conference at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre, where expert speakers from Ireland and abroad will share the latest evidence and updates in menopause and midlife health. Aoife Nic Shamhráin will also take part in a panel discussion, discussing HRT and dementia, alongside fellow members of the MSI Board.

We’re really looking forward to a day of learning, discussion and catching up with colleagues and, most importantly, bringing that knowledge back to our patients at Rose Clinic Bray.

Keeping up to date with evolving evidence is a huge part of what we do. We’re committed to providing women with expert, evidence-based and individualised care, grounded in the best available research.

World Sexual Health Day 2026

Sexual health is an important part of women’s health across every stage of life.

Concerns may include contraception, painful s*x, vulval symptoms, changes in libido, fertility, hormonal changes, menopause, s*xually transmitted infections and relationship or s*xual wellbeing.

At Rose Clinic Bray, we provide specialist, evidence-based care for women, with consultations tailored to each individual’s symptoms, stage of life and medical history.

Our aim is to support women with clear information, appropriate investigation and personalised treatment in a professional and respectful setting.

Periods & Sport 🩸🏃‍♀️⚽️🏊‍♀️

We love this initiative from Sport Ireland and Her Moves 🙌

Sport Ireland’s Period Positive Poster Pack was developed with teenage girls to help break the taboo around periods and sport. The posters cover practical topics including understanding and tracking the menstrual cycle, staying active throughout the cycle, and how coaches, parents and schools can create a more period-positive environment.

Periods can be a very normal part of teenage life, but heavy or painful periods, irregular cycles, concerns about bleeding during sport, or simply not knowing what’s “normal” can make sport and everyday life much harder.
With teenagers heading back to school, clubs and sports, it’s a really good time to start these conversations.

A very pink day out for the Rose Clinic Bray team 💗🏃‍♀️
So proud to have such a brilliant team at Rose Clinic Bray and even better to get everyone together for a fun day out in aid of such an important cause.

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women in Ireland, with around 3,600 women diagnosed each year, and approximately 1 in 7 women receiving a breast cancer diagnosis during their lifetime.

At Rose Clinic Bray, we’re very lucky to have a multidisciplinary team supporting women through all stages of life, from specialist women’s health medical care, to dietetic support Gillian McConnell lactation support Lola Dexter RM IBCLC , women’s health physiotherapy Sinead Wixted Women’s Health Physio , and our evening classes with Antenatal Classes | Baby Massage Bray Greystones and Satya Michela .

A lovely morning together, lots of pink, plenty of laughs, and all for a cause that means so much to so many of us. 💗
