Last week we had great engagement at the Chest Drainage Day in Tallaght University Hospital. OxygenCare’s Mark Kelly Product Specialist ran through the benefits of the Medela Global Dominant Flex and the Vario Portable Suction Unit.

The Dominant Flex offers 40, 50 or 60 lpm flow with 5-year product warranty. Versatile, with powerful variable flow rates in clinical settings and surgical procedures including general surgery, endoscopy and liposuction.

While the Vario is a portable, rechargeable and mains powered suction unit. It is powerful and exceptionally quiet. It is ideal for all-round suctioning requirements whether at home, in hospital, at health clinics or nursing homes.

This week is World Breast-Feeding Week, 'Breastfeeding for a sustainable start in life: strengthen what works'.

Nearly half of infants under six months are now exclusively breastfed globally, according to the 2025 Global Breastfeeding Scorecard.

At 47%, this marks real progress, but also highlights the need for continued support for mothers and babies everywhere.

OxygenCare are proud to be supporting Irish healthcare for more than 50 years especially the tiniest in our population. To learn more about our maternal infant care breastfeeding supports click here https://tinyurl.com/3yp2mba7

Upgrading critical care infrastructure in an active hospital environment is no small feat. Last week, our OxygenCare team rose to the challenge at Letterkenny University Hospital and successfully delivered a seamless deployment of GE HealthCare’s B650 and B105 monitors on their existing Aisys™ CS2 machines overnight.

- The Aisys™ CS2 allows anaesthetists to conduct the function of Target Controlled Anaesthesia with Et Control ensuring safer anaesthesia.

- The B650 is a multi-parameter monitor allowing clinicians to view, record and recall patient data acquired by an extensive range of physiological parameters for adult, paediatric or neonatal patient monitoring.

- The B105 monitor supporting GE TruSignal™ SpO2 ability to reject motion artifacts and detection even at low perfusion.

By coordinating a meticulous rollout in Theatres and ICU, we have provided clinical staff with tools to enhance patient safety and workflow efficiency.

Sincere gratitude to our engineers John O’Rourke, Mark Dwyer, Ciarán Zayee-Mellick and Product Specialist John Duddy and to the hospital staff for their collaboration throughout this process. To learn more about our solutions click here https://lnkd.in/dDxRgQNz

Summer Respiratory Care – Don’t Forget Your Nebuliser.

With summer in full swing, we often think about suncream and hydration, but for those managing asthma, allergies, or respiratory conditions, seasonal challenges require extra attention.

The PARI BOY Classic nebuliser can be a summer lifesaver for three key reasons:
1. Allergy flare-ups. Pollen peaks can trigger asthma and allergic reactions. This device delivers medication effectively when you need it most.
2. Humidity & mucus. Summer colds and dry hot air can thicken mucus. Nebulised saline solutions help moisturise airways and clear congestion.
3. Children’s relief. Respiratory infections don’t take a holiday. The PARI BOY Classic (suitable for ages 4+) offers gentle, reliable symptom relief for little ones.

*NB*: warm weather also means higher bacterial growth risk. Keeping your nebuliser clean is non-negotiable.

Quick hygiene reminder:
- Clean after every use in warm soapy water, rinse, and air-dry.
- Disinfect once a week. Boil components in water for 5 minutes.
- Patients inhaling antibiotics must clean and disinfect the device daily.
- Replace parts annually – chamber, tubing, filter, and mouthpiece

A clean device means effective therapy. A little care goes a long way in protecting your lungs. Click here for more product information https://lnkd.in/dGQca5H8

Day three at the Critical Care Review meeting in the Titanic Belfast.
OxygenCare is here demonstrating critical care solutions such as the Zoll Bellavista ventilator, a universal and versatile solution to ventilate every patient from neonate to adult. The GE HealthCare Carevance monitors, that can adapt from acute to critical care settings. As well as our Medical Device Integration solutions that help critical care teams improve workflows and faster decision making.
And just outside, parked in front of the iconic H&W Belfast cranes. A handful of DeLorean cars, they are not part of the exhibit, no time travel, flux capacitors or 88 mph needed. But they're a good reminder, in critical care, every second is a time machine.
Drop by our stand and talk with our product specialists, Conor McKegney, Linda Ryan, Stephen Nicolson and Jonathan Hall they’ll be happy to answer your questions. Click here for more information https://tinyurl.com/yjyte7cm

Day two at the CAI Annual Congress 2026, we were proud to introduce the GE HealthCare Carestation 850 Anaesthesia System, a milestone that reflects not just innovation, but decades of collaboration with the anaesthesia community.
As anaesthesia and critical care continue to evolve, so too does the way we support clinicians.
For over 50 years, OxygenCare has adapted alongside this journey — and today, our approach is guided by a holistic three-pillar strategy across the equipment lifecycle:
• Pre-delivery
• User competency
• Post-sale service
