A little bit of Discovery Drum® history 💙
I'm delighted to see the story behind Discovery Drum® featured by Industrial Packaging.
What started with a visit to my family's manufacturing business with my autism class, and a borrowed fibre drum filled with polypropylene beads, eventually became the Discovery Drum® you see today.
I never set out to create a business. I was simply trying to find something that worked for my students — something sensory, engaging, adaptable and age-appropriate.

I'm particularly proud that this has been such a local story, with support from my family, Key Plastics, Industrial Packaging, former students, colleagues and the many young people who helped shape Discovery Drum® along the way.

Absolutely delighted to catch up with adult past pupils — one of the nicest parts of doing local school fairs.
Really special watching parents and children interact with Discovery Drum®, and being reminded of all the students who’ve enjoyed it in my own classrooms over the years, and how lucky I am to now share it through this small local business 💛
