Skellig Sauna Skellig Sauna is a space for relaxation, healing and community. We are a wood-fired sauna based on the scenic peninsula of Iveragh in southwest Kerry.

A Mobile Sauna in the Cahersiveen, Ballinskelligs, Valentia island and Waterville area. One of the best outdoor activities and relaxing things to do on Kerry's beaches.

This bank holiday weekend we celebrated 4 years in business. 🥳

Watching our community embrace this relatively new experience in Ireland has been incredibly rewarding and we can't wait to bring many more years of heat to our lovely beaches, in south West Kerry. 🔥🔥

As always, thank you so much for your continued support and we will ensure to continue improving the experience as we move towards in an exciting time for our little rural slice of heaven. 🙏

We've noticed a massive resurgence of the Irish language in our local area in recent years.

I have my own theories on why people are reconnecting to our native language, But there are some amazing Gaeilgeoirí in the area organising loads of events and meet ups on a weekly basis. 🍀

Coffee mornings, irish language classes, music events, céilí's, etc. And we are also delighted to be hosting weekly 'Sána Gaeilge' sessions at the sauna for over a year now. 🔥

It's a laid back, casual environment where you can speak fluently, practice a cúpla focal or just simply listen and discussing or poetic language along with it's meanings and origins. 🇮🇪

January is an interesting month in our rural slice of heaven in south west Kerry.

More peace and tranquility combined with dark evenings and moody skies. 🌦️

There can be less to keep us entertained in these months with businesses closing to take rest during a quieter period. However, there are still a lot of options for us to keep the spirits up and social batteries charged.

We stay open year round to keep the heat in the bones, and endorphins on the move 🔥

Other wellness businesses are keeping us accountable with open doors such as to name a few.

Grianstad an Gheimhridh ~ The standing still of the Sun ~ Winter Solctice ❄️✨

Today marks the shortest day and longest night of the year. A time when the land is asleep and we can rest and reflect on the year gone by.

A gentle reminder for us to slow down and embrace the natural flow of the season, perhaps sitting around a fire sharing stories with others 🔥

Personally I always feel very positive about this day. It means everyday gets a little more light from now until the summer.
