FREE BLOOD PRESSURE AND PULSE CHECKS

The Irish Heart Foundation unit will be stationed outside The Corn Mill Theatre on Main Street H12F4W0 on Thursday, March 26, from 10am to 3.45pm.

Members of the public are invited to drop in and have their blood pressure and pulse checked, as part of a nationwide initiative aimed at promoting heart health and encouraging the early detection of hypertension (high blood pressure) — one of the leading causes of cardiovascular disease.

Just to let everyone know that the Defibrillator at the GAA park is inaccessible until February due to building works. Carrigallen GFC The nearest alternative is in McCann’s shop or the one at the front of the Hall.

Hi all just a note to say thank you to the 39 people who recently received CPR/AED training with us. Special mention to our trainer Robert Logan who was kind enough to provide it.

If there is sufficient interest in training we could run a few courses in the autumn/winter period, so if it’s something that you’d like to do, send a message on this page and we’ll include your name.

One final word…if people scroll down on earlier posts you will find a map and a list of Defibrillator locations. Please find the defibrillator closest to you so that if you ever need it you’ll know where to go.

We’ve had a great response from people wishing to take up the offer of the Defibrillator courses. 😃

We can create more dates if people are interested just message this page.

Courses are usually held on Tuesday/Wednesday evenings at 7pm and run for 2½ hours.

Participation certificate is included.
