🦚 The path to Mayurasana 🦚

Drawing all the scattered corners of my mind to a single-pointed focus. 🤸‍♀️

Although the purpose of yoga is not to reach a physical goal, it can help when the mind is all over the place, to bring focus to one single pose. To break it down and figure it out. To bring the awareness to breath and patterns of movement, to help you come home to yourself. 🧡

Breaking it down:
Warm up wrists and shoulders
Create buoyancy
Feel the counterbalance
Help the brain to feel the pattern and fly.

In Mayurasa, traditionally, the hands are close together, for those of us who are generous of “boobage”, it helps to separate the hands to create space. ☺️

I don’t know why these reels slow down when I download them - anyone know how to fix this?

🤍There was something about Mikey!

He strolled into our lives in 2023 with his big warm smile and his lovely easy way.
He was “solid”, charming, fun loving, hard working. He loved his family and friends.
He lived life to the full and he and our Ellen were the happiest little love birds.

Mikey was a keeper. In my mind he would be with us for the long haul.

But unknown to us Mikey was struggling and he decided to leave this world in late October last year.

We have known lots of grief in this lifetime but nothing could have prepared us for the devastation we felt at his leaving.

A loss to su***de is different. 💔

We are heartbroken but grateful that he came into our lives even if it was only for a brief stay. We are lucky to have known him.
We miss you Mikey K. 🪽

In honour of Mikey, his friends and family are raising funds for 3 charities that offer support to those affected by su***de. Ellen has benefitted from counselling from Pieta House.
