This is more than just an idea to me — it is something I feel deeply in my heart.
I want to create a 24/7 Crisis Centre for adolescents and young people in Clonmel because I know how important it is for someone in crisis to feel seen, heard, safe, and supported. Too many young people are carrying pain silently while waiting for help that can take far too long to come.
I want this centre to feel like a place of hope. A place where no young person is judged, ignored, or turned away. A place where families know there is somewhere to call in the middle of the night when everything feels overwhelming.
This is not about recognition or attention. It is about compassion, understanding, and building something that could genuinely change lives.
I know there will be obstacles, funding battles, and red tape, but I believe our young people deserve better mental health support than what is currently available. They deserve immediate care from psychiatrists, psychologists, counsellors, crisis workers, and trained professionals who truly understand crisis intervention and mental health care.
I want to help build a service where young people feel safe enough to ask for help before they reach breaking point.
Because no young person should ever feel alone in their darkest moment.
If this vision speaks to you, please support us, share this message, and help us raise awareness for the urgent need for youth crisis support in Clonmel.
