✨ Why am I so excited about Rogério coming to Ireland? ✨

Because he is someone who chose a different path.

A successful Brazilian actor, he left behind a life of comfort and luxury to spend the last 8 years travelling through India, studying Bhakti Yoga and searching for deeper meaning.

Today, he says:

“Witnessing people understand how to use the breath to awaken consciousness is my dharma.”

Rogério lives simply, teaches from experience, and reminds us that true abundance is not what we own, but what we carry within — peace, love, gratitude, and connection with God. 💛

This will be his first visit to Ireland, and I don’t know when or if he’ll return.

💙 Burnout in Nursing – How I Cope With It

More and more nurses are leaving the profession because of burnout. I won’t pretend I haven’t had moments when I questioned whether I should keep going.

But you know what? I love my job too much to give up that easily.

For years, I have been making a conscious effort to find time for myself and not allow the system, the pressure, and the daily stress to take away the joy I find in nursing. I truly believe that if we want to take good care of others, we must first take care of ourselves.

For a long time, I thought that being a good nurse meant always putting everyone else first. Today, I know that’s not entirely true. When we are exhausted, overwhelmed, and running on empty, we cannot give our patients the best of ourselves. Self-care is not a luxury – it’s a necessity.

Every morning, I wake up about an hour earlier. I start with a few minutes of vibration exercises and body tapping, which help stimulate circulation and boost my energy levels. Then I spend around 20 minutes meditating.

Before breakfast, which I usually have during my break at work, I drink warm water with cloves and leave my coffee until later. These simple rituals help me start the day feeling calmer, more focused, and full of energy.

After a morning like this, it’s much easier to face the challenges of a 12-hour shift and maintain the balance that is so important in our profession.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realised that I don’t have to save the whole world at the expense of my own health. I can be a dedicated nurse and still make time for myself.

I don’t know how many more years I’ll work in nursing, but I do know one thing – I want to do it with joy, not out of obligation. 💙

This exercise looks easy… until your brain tries to do it in real time 😅🔥

These kinds of drills improve something called bilateral coordination — your brain’s ability to have both sides of the body doing different tasks while still working together as one.

When each hand performs a different movement, your brain has to work harder, creating new neural connections and improving communication across the nervous system.

Benefits of these exercises:
• better focus and concentration
• faster reaction time
• improved coordination and precision
• memory and attention training
• greater cognitive flexibility
• stronger communication between the brain hemispheres

Consistency matters more than duration — just a few minutes a day, 3–5 times a week, can make a big difference. It’s an amazing workout not only for your body, but for your brain too 🧠✨

Let’s stop chasing more things to possess, more status to display, or more achievements to prove our worth—and instead begin choosing who we want to become. Because in the end, our lives are not defined by what we accumulate, but by how we grow, how we treat others, and how deeply we experience the world around us.

When we shift our focus from having to being, we move from constant striving to intentional living. We start valuing presence over pressure, meaning over materialism, and authenticity over comparison. That is where fulfillment lives—not in what we own, but in who we are becoming every day.

So maybe the question isn’t “What else do I need?” but “Who do I want to be?”

Therapy is a tool — not the source of healing.

This post really resonated with me, because over the last few years I’ve noticed something important: many of us still expect a doctor, therapist, physiotherapist, or “one session” to fix us.

But healing doesn’t work like that.

Therapy can support you, guide you, and open a door…
yet the real work continues in your daily life.

For example, Bowen Therapy won’t truly support your body if you don’t also look at:
• your lifestyle
• your diet
• your activity level
• your sleep
• your stress
• your mindset
• your relationship with yourself

The most important part is being connected to yourself — aware, present, and honest.
Not just wanting to “feel better,” but genuinely choosing health.

Healing is a process.
So don’t expect one session to “heal everything.” Sometimes it takes weeks… sometimes months… and that’s okay.

Because the greatest power is not in the therapy.
The greatest power is in you.

And we forget that far too often.
Your body is always listening, always responding, always trying to come back into balance.
Give it time. Give it consistency. Give it love.
And let therapy be the support — not the responsibility.❤️🙏

🚫 Why Sugar is More Dangerous Than You Think‼️

As a nurse and holistic therapist with years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people on their health journeys. But I’m also deeply concerned – I see more and more people becoming seriously ill. Cancer, heart disease, and other chronic conditions are spreading like wildfire, and much of this is driven by lifestyle choices – poor diet, too much sugar, smoking, and excessive alcohol.

I can’t stay silent anymore. We need to talk about this.

🔬 Sugar and Cancer – The Hidden Connection
   •   In 1931, Nobel Prize winner Otto Warburg discovered that cancer cells consume sugar at a much faster rate than normal cells – this process fuels their rapid growth.
   •   A 2017 study by scientists from KU Leuven in Belgium confirmed that sugar directly stimulates the aggressive growth of cancer cells (Nature Communications, 2017).
   •   High sugar diets are linked to increased risks of colorectal, pancreatic, breast, and prostate cancers (Basu et al., 2013, BMC Medicine).

🛡️ Sugar Weakens Your Defenses
   •   Just 100g of sugar (about two cans of soda) can reduce the efficiency of your white blood cells by up to 40% for several hours, making it harder for your body to fight off disease (Sanchez et al., 1973).
   •   It also fuels chronic inflammation, creating the ideal environment for cancer cells to thrive.

💥 It’s Time for a Change
I’ve made it my mission to promote healthy habits and raise awareness. Reducing or eliminating sugar can significantly lower your cancer risk, reduce inflammation, boost your immune system, and stabilize your energy levels.

Let’s choose foods that heal, not those that harm. Together, we can break the cycle of disease and build a healthier, stronger future.
