Isaac has hip dysplasia, a condition that can make movement painful and difficult and can lead to compensatory movement patterns and muscle weakness and atrophy. Luckily his guardian recognised early signs and started hydro and physio young. Isaac works hard in the pool keeping him strong and mobile to continue his active lifestyle with his 4 Dalmation siblings and activities like mantrailing where he’s a total pro!

Dogs don’t cry out in pain unless it’s an acute injury. Dogs in chronic pain show subtle signs. Keep your eyes peeled. Don’t accept ‘he’s just getting old’ theory and address their pain. 🐶

It was so lovely to see Ellie, the Marilyn Monroe of dogs back in the clinic. This photo was from a few years back, we both are definitely looking a bit older but we are still smiling and delighted to see each other.

Ellie had surgeries to repair both cruciates over the years and has osteoarthritis in both stifles and both elbows. She is still an active dog and wants to exercise so we need to keep her strong and comfortable to help her continue this as she gets older.

Emer Kelly is a professional dog groomer with almost 14 years of experience. She graduated from St. John’s Central College, Cork, where she earned QQI Level 5 and Level 6 qualifications in Animal Husbandry and Dog Grooming. Throughout her career, Emer has developed a comprehensive understanding of grooming techniques as well as animal care, allowing her to provide skilled services to a diverse range of dog breeds. Her focus on maintaining high standards of care and attention to detail has contributed to her excellent reputation.
