The kids are back at school, the days are getting shorter and summer is officially coming to an end.

After months of sun exposure, travel and changes to our usual routines, our skin can often be left feeling a little different — whether that’s more pigmentation, dehydration, congestion or a loss of that healthy glow.

Here’s how to reset your skin after summer and what we should be focusing on as we move into autumn.

Your skin after summer — what does it need?

After summer, the skin can often be left with a combination of congestion, dehydration and pigmentation from a build-up of sun exposure, SPF, sweat and heat.

How do we treat these concerns? The right approach depends on what your skin needs, but this can include ZO skincare, peels and microneedling to treat congestion and texture, and Profhilo and Polynucleotides to restore hydration and support skin quality. For pigmentation and uneven skin tone, ZO skincare like Vitamin C, Brightalive and exfoliation can help, while IPL and laser treatments can offer more targeted correction.
