The OT Library' is a visual created by our OT team based within the Disability Support Service at the University of Galway. It was created to help explain the types of support Occupational Therapy can offer students in their university experience. The books on the shelf represent different areas a student might choose to explore with their OT. It reflects the OT approach of supporting people to build their personal resources and awareness. The goal of OT is that students go away feeling more equipped to manage university life and take part in the things that are most important to them. In other words, feeling they have a few more tools in the toolbox, or more books in the library!
Many universities in Ireland now have Occupational Therapists working within their Disability Support Services. If you are a student you can speak to your university's support service to find out what your university offers. You can also email us on info@corkotservices for private OT support.
