'The sinking of the Lusitania - Myths, Facts and the West Cork Connection continues on Stories from Cork and Beyond this Sunday on CUH fm.
In the second of a three part programme... we hear how the British Admiralty hung Captain Turner out to dry in the aftermath of the sinking.
We clear up the myth that Courtmacsherry lifeboat intentionally delayed its arrival at the scene of the sinking.
And the Irish government scores an own goal by inviting Raimund Weisbach to the 50th anniversary of the 1916 Rising.
Weisbach was commander of U Boat 19 that dropped Roger Casement at Banna Strand. Unknown to the government, he was the officer who physically fired the torpedo which sank Lusitania one year previously.
