A WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS TO REMEMBER 🇮🇪
What an unforgettable journey for Team Ireland at the 2026 IMMAF Youth World Championships.
Our incredible young athletes return home with an outstanding haul of eight world medals:
🥇 Four Gold Medals — Cameron Geraghty, Freya Marsh, Kayla Murtagh and Ella Carey
🥈 Three Silver Medals — Amelia Lennon, Roman Verhoeven and Adam Duffy
🥉 One Bronze Medal — Timur Vovk
Behind every medal are countless hours of training, sacrifice, discipline and courage. There were early mornings, difficult days, nerves, pressure and challenges—but these young athletes continued to believe, fight and give everything for the Irish flag.
The medals tell only part of the story. What made us proudest was the heart shown by the entire team: the way they supported one another, represented their families, coaches and clubs, and carried themselves with pride on the biggest stage in youth MMA.
To every athlete who stepped into the cage: you made us proud. Whether you returned with a medal or invaluable experience, you showed that you belong among the best young martial artists in the world.
To the coaches, families, teammates and supporters who stood behind these athletes every step of the way—this achievement belongs to you too.
