I've been a bit quieter on here this week... but only because life has been so busy.

And I know so many of you will get this.

Summer holidays with four boys is no mean feat. πŸ˜‚ And being down to one car between the five of us (one son who's car-less at the moment) means more lifts here and there... meal preps, gym sessions, morning walks, endless washing, trying to keep on top of the house... and somewhere in amongst all of that, I'm trying to study too.

I know... it's just life.

But sometimes I feel like I have to post here with something really profound to say. Like every post has to teach something or inspire someone. The truth is... sometimes I've nothing to say. (I know me with nothing to say πŸ™ˆ)

Mostly though at the moment, I'm just trying to keep my own head above water. I'm just putting one foot in front of the other. And I think social media can make us feel like our lives have to be Instagrammable all the time. Believe me... they're not.

Mine certainly isn't. It's messy. It's busy. It's emotional. It's beautiful. Its exhausting. Sometimes all in the same day. This morning Floyd stopped to sniff a daisy on our walk and it made me stop too.

And I thought... maybe that's enough for today.
Maybe when life gets hard, you just find the daisies. The tiny moments that remind you to slow down and breathe.

So if you've been feeling a bit overwhelmed lately... I hear you, I get it. I'm still here. Still trying. Still showing up. Just maybe a little more quietly this week.

If this sounds like something you've experienced leave me a 🌼 or a ❀️ or both! I'd love to know I'm not the only one.

Have you ever noticed how you can still be doing all the right things... but not really doing them?

For a while now, I've been walking, I've been training and trying to eat well. But if I'm honest... I was just going through the motions.

I'd eat mindfully some days and other days I'd just wing it. I'd hit the snooze button. Skip the gym because it was "too late." Tell myself I'd get back on track tomorrow.

The habits hadn't disappeared...They'd just lost their focus.

So instead of trying to do more, I simply decided to lock back in... to earlier mornings, longer walks, a proper gym programme, meal prep, and eating well.

Nothing dramatic... just the decision to become intentional again.

And here's what surprised me...when this part of my life feels organised, everything else feels lighter too.

Sometimes the biggest change isn't doing more.
It's giving your attention back to the good habits that already make you feel like you ❀️‍πŸ”₯πŸ₯°πŸ’ͺ🏼

This morning I nearly talked myself out of my run, before I'd even got out of bed.

I'd gone to bed late. I'd had a broken night's sleep. I'd already decided I was too tired. Sound familiar?

But instead of pulling the duvet back over my head, I got up. I did a little journalling. A few minutes of breathing. A bit of meditation. A glass of water.

And then I actually checked in with my body. Not my head... my body. Because sometimes our minds decide how we're going to feel before our bodies have even had a chance to wake up.

So I laced up my runners and thought, "I'll just do a short run." Next thing I knew I'd hit 4K. Then 5K. Then I thought... "You know what? I've another kilometre in me."..and I hit 6km!

Now, this isn't me saying you should push through every time. Sometimes your body genuinely needs rest. But sometimes... your mind is just trying to keep you comfortable.

So before you decide you're too tired, too busy, or just not feeling it... Get up, take a few deep breaths, move your body gently...
Then check in.

You might be surprised by what you're actually capable of today. ❀️❀️❀️

Three weeks ago, I closed the doors to The Yoga Den.

If I'm honest, I had absolutely no idea what was coming next and I still don't. Closing the studio was one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make. It felt like I was closing the door on a huge part of who I was.

For a little while, I couldn't see past that. But over the last three weeks, something has shifted.
I've realised that I don't need a big studio to have a purpose. I don't need four walls and a sign above the door to help women move, grow stronger, and reconnect with themselves.

What I do need however, is a space to think. A space to create. A space to dream again.

So today, I built one.

This little corner of my bedroom has become my office, my sanctuary, and the place where the next chapter begins. And there's something else I'm really proud of...

For the first time in my life, I drilled holes into a wall and hung shelves by myself. That might sound like such a small thing, but to me, it's huge. Because it isn't really about the shelves. It's about proving to myself that I can do hard things.

I don't know exactly what my future in the wellness industry looks like yet. I do know that it will involve movement. It will involve helping women feel strong again.

It will involve everything I've learned through yoga, and everything I'm now learning through personal training.

It may look different. But different doesn't mean worse.

Sometimes life closes one door so quietly that you don't notice another one opening.

So here's to new beginnings, messy middles, and having the courage to keep building... even when you don't yet know exactly what you're building.

Thank you to every single one of you who has supported me, encouraged me, and believed in me over the last few weeks.

I'm only just getting started. πŸ§˜πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ’ͺπŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ₯°πŸͺ„

Thank you
for putting waterskiing on our bucket list! πŸŒŠπŸ„πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

What a fantastic afternoon, spent with the best people, having the best fun.

Making memories and reminding myself that age really is just a number. I know... it's such a clichΓ©, but honestly, it is. If there's something you've always wanted to do... What's stopping you?
Make the plan. Say yes.

And if you suck at it... so what?! πŸ˜…

Life isn't about being good at everything.
It's about saying yes to new experiences, laughing at yourself along the way, and making memories with the people around you.

We're only here for a short time. So make it a good one. ❀️

Thank you we had the best time! I think I found my new favourite past time πŸ˜‚
