๐ŸŽ™ We teach you about yoga.

Our studio is a community focused yoga space where people can come to learn, connect, explore and experience the many benefits Yoga has to offer. We host weekly classes, workshops, student and teacher trainings and experiences. We also have a small shop and a library. The kettle is always on and there is always a smile to welcome you at the door! Unlike other studios we are run and operated by the

teachers. This allows for the student to be at the forefront of the experience, for each teacher to earn a decent wage from sharing their gifts and for the profits to be fairly distributed. Yoga means union, to come together, and so we feel this is the way most in keeping with the yogic philosophy and ethos. Many places teach yoga classes. Hence the word School in the name. If you want to do yoga, come join us. If you want to learn about yoga, come join us. If you want to do both, come join us! We go to great lengths to ensure the energy is protected and nurtured. It is a living space after all. Filled with air purifying plants, featuring a beautiful alter and burning only 100% natural incense you can breathe deep, and breathe clean. The space is cleaned physically and energetically on a regular basis. The energy in the studio has to be experienced to be believed. Fully stocked with an abundance of props we will have you fully supported and sinking into relaxation. The studio was founded by Jeanie Jyanti and the name originated from her understanding of the yoga practice as a holistic and magical process to transform your entire being. As a Chemist by academic training the word Alchemy just made sense. Environmental Statement:
To have the minimum, negative impact possible on the environment in all that we do
To inspire and educate all that visit the space to have the minimum, negative impact on the environment. How?:
โ€“ All utilities are supplied by 100% renewable sources.
โ€“ The walls are painted with 0% VOC vegetable-based paints, (almost!) safe enough to eat.
โ€“ We use only bamboo toilet roll โ€“ it even comes in biodegradable wrapping!
โ€“ There are ZERO single-use plastics in the studio
โ€“ We use packaging free soap
โ€“ The props are washed in biodegradable, eco-friendly detergents.
โ€“ The mats are cleaned with lemon oil, a natural disinfectant. Our Mission Statement:
Create a safe and open space to encourage self exploration
To provide affordable, authentic and quality yoga classes for a range of demographics
To educate and inspire people on yoga
To build a supportive, inclusive and inspiring community through all that we do
Create a place for the yoga community of Cork to use so they can continue to share their gifts

๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿฝโ€โ™‚๏ธ We have our physical anatomy - the bones, joints, muscles, lungs, heart etc. But the thing that makes Yoga Yoga, is the Yogic Anatomy.

๐Ÿ•‰ We don't discount the physical body, it is the vehicle we have been given to journey through life with.

๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ But the Ancient Yogis knew that to truly find balance you need to work with the subtle body too - your energy system.

๐Ÿค— So if you can sequence with the Vayus, Nadis, Koshas, Chakras, Bandhas, Mantra and Mudras in mind, it elevates your class from a good one to a great one!

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿซ And so I wish more Yoga Teacher knew about this and knew how to share it with their students. And so I've decided to so something about it.

๐Ÿ“š If you know a lot about the body and how to teach people to move, but feel you are not sure how to teach people the magic of Yoga, then I have just the course for you.

Would you like to join us?
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ

Here's why we feel you should:

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ We love sharing authentic Yoga, from the source, direct to you. We will focus on making you a Yogi first so you can then learn how to teach it.

๐ŸŽ“ We focus on the scientific as well as the spiritual. We regularly get comments from students saying they have fallen back in love with Yoga once they experienced true Yoga on these courses.

๐Ÿ›Œ Our experiences are a deep immersion into Yogic Lifestyle. All you have to do is be there and enjoy the practices and the theory. It's often referred to as a retreat and a training in one.

๐Ÿ˜‚ We really value play and joy. Yoga can be so serious sometimes. Yes, we deeply honour and respect these teachings, where they've come from and how deeply healing they can be. But we also celebrate life, share in the joy of living and loving, and want to share that with you too!

๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ+๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿฆผ ๐Ÿ’ถ We are dedicated to inclusivity, diversity and access for all to Yoga spaces. Everyone is welcome. And we don't just say that. We do something about it, too. We offer payment plans and scholarships. We respect people's autonomy and choice regarding their identity, sexuality, religion, beliefs and status. We are passionate about allowing everyone access to these spaces. Not just a privileged few. Currently not all our spaces are wheelchair accessible. We are working hard in the background to change this.

โ“๏ธWe provide support and guidance long after the experience is finished. Our graduates and guests don't just finish, and we're gone. We have many community spaces where they can ask questions, seek advice, clarify things, and get support. This can be a lonely journey at times, but we focus on community.

๐Ÿ’– We are open to any questions, comments, concerns, or enquiries about any of these. No matter how small a question. DM us,and we'll get back to you when we can. It really should be the right choice for us all. We love to chat!

๐Ÿซฃ I took a risk the other day and said something to a student that was pretty risky!

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿซ The student - teacher relationship in Yoga is very important. It is one that is developed over time and hopefully a respect and trust builds.

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ This goes 2 ways. With the teacher at the top, abuse and manipulation can occur or the student has the teacher on a very wobbly pedestal!

๐Ÿซ‚ But when the relationship develops with respect, trust and the essence of yoga as the foundation, then it can be a beautiful + symbiotic meeting.

๐Ÿคฏ Recently a student was really struggling with teaching their final practicum for their 200hr Teacher Training assessment. We had been working up to this for months. Preparing, learning, assessing, deep diving.

๐Ÿ˜ซ And in their own words they "they were making such a big deal out of it". Going back and forth trying to decide what postures to put in, what theme to use, what area to focus on. They couldn't make a decision and kept changing what they wanted to do.

๐Ÿค— Despite lots of chats about it an reminders that it didn't need to be so complicated, that all I was looking for was them to share yoga from the heart and teach the people in front of you, it was still not landing.

๐Ÿ˜ As I know this student well and we trust and respect each other, I knew in this moment, they needed to be snapped out of this loop they had developed in their head. They deeply know and love yoga, they are a fantastic human and even better teacher. They were letting their head guide them instead of their heart and naturally this lead to overthinking and second guessing themselves.

๐Ÿซข And so I said these words. I took a risk. I crossed my fingers behind my back and hoped it would land the way I intended.

๐Ÿ“ข I said straight out to them "This really isn't about you. It's so much bigger than that. It's about Yoga. So get out of your own way and teach some Yoga"

๐Ÿคฃ Luckily we both burst out laughing, the student softened and I saw a visible release. I had just given them permission to let go of the perfection they were striving for. To be reminded that as teachers we are just vessels of this wisdom. It's not about us. It's all about Yoga!

๐Ÿ›Œ ลšavฤsana is often people's "favourite" part. But I really wish it wasn't the end of a class! Here's why...

๐Ÿ˜ด From the physical perspective it is a practice of letting the body rest with no comparison, nothing to achieve, and no fixing or aligning to be done. Just being.

๐Ÿ•‰ But it is also a spiritual practice of symbolic death and rebirth, the ultimate release of ego, surrendering control, and returning to a state of pure, detached awareness before "rebirthing" back into daily life.

๐Ÿชท So all signs point to the fact that this pose was preparing us for something so much more, yet it is overlooked in almost every yoga class!

๐Ÿ  So ending a class in ลšavฤsana is like spending an hour getting ready to go out and then staying at home! There were still some benefits, you still had a great time, but the thing you were preparing for, wasn't done.

๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ So I wish more teachers ended their classes with pranayama and meditation. Making both as accessible to their students as possible.

๐Ÿ“š How do you do this? Well if you would like to learn how to seamlessly weave this system of yoga into your teachings, while also not annoying sage Patanjali for not honouring the system, I have just the course for you!

๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ 5 things that are missing from most Yoga Classes ๐Ÿ•‰

โœจ๏ธ 1) Yogic Anatomy

This is what makes Yoga Yoga! This is the magic of sequencing using the Pranas, the Koshas, including mudra, mantra, chanting, all the energetic anatomy that is so often discarded. Check out my Pranayama + Yogic Anatomy YTT in .ie in Aug 2026

๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ 2) Simplicity

Our lives are complicated enough. Why are our Yoga classes jam packed with โ€œnew and unusual sequencesโ€? What if we showed up, connected, moved, took some breaths and rested? What if Yoga was enough and we didn't need to add lots of things on top?

๐Ÿชท 3) Spirituality

This is not for everyone, but it is part of Yoga. We donโ€™t get to decide when to included it or not. This is the origin of the practice. You don't have to mention God or make the whole class a philosophical deep dive, but letโ€™s remember to connect to something bigger than us and invite our students to do the same. They can join in or not.But we still offer.

๐Ÿซ‚ 4) Diversity

Look around your class. Does everyone look the same? Are all the body shapes similar? Have you varying abilities? This is often due to how we market Yoga. If all you do is share pictures of a particular body type, rest assured you are sending a message that they are the only ones welcome.

๐Ÿง‘๐Ÿพโ€๐Ÿฆผ 5) Accessibility

Is the class accessible to all? This is way too vast a topic to go into now! I can recommend checking out Accessible Yoga School for amazing resources on this. But consider what you can do now to make your offerings more accessible, physically, financially, academically, emotionally. is coming to Dublin in Sept to run a 40hr Accessible Yoga YTT and I can not recommend it enough!
