Marian O’Sullivan retires:
After 35 years of service here in the Care Village as a Senior Nurse, Marian has seen huge changes. Working in the old hospital through to working in our newly refurbished Care Village. Marian was CPR trainer and Infection Control lead. Always going the extra mile for her residents & colleagues Marian will be very missed by all staff, residents and sisters here in the Care Village. We wish Marian a happy healthy retirement.

Wellbeing Day at the Bon Secours Care Village:
Wellbeing day kicked off here at the Care Village on Fri 12th April, it started with complimentary Health breakfast for all staff. Staff availed of the Goodie bags & free passes for Dennehy's Health & Fitness, Ballincollig. Thank you to everyone who donated to our staff.

There is huge importance for a healthy mind in a healthy body and there is no better place to start getting healthier than in the workplace. This year, in line with our KeepWell Mark accreditation, we will be taking part in the National Workplace Wellbeing Day on 12 April 2019.We hope to shine a spotlight on employee wellbeing through promoting better exercise and nutrition in the workplace.

There will be various events happening throughout the day such as:

Free Healthy breakfast for all staff between 10:00 - 12:00 p.m.
Half price lunch if you chose the Healthy option.
Goodie bags to be won.
Free pass for Dennehy's Health & Fitness, Ballincollig.

As well as that, please also remember our Employee Wellbeing Programme we have which provides professional and independent Counselling and Support. We also have discounted membership rates at the Kingsley Hotel and the QWellness board in our Restaurant which provides healthy and nutritional recipes and advice.

The first 10 people to share this post will receive a ‘Goodie’ bag.

Huge Congrats to our staff member Karen Linehan Barry who won Gold in the squat, gold in the bench, silver in the deadlift and gold in the total category at European Masters in Hungary. Karen now becomes the first lifter to win the title of European Champion in the history of the federation.
