The family of the late George Mahon, would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all who sympathised with us on the recent sad passing of George, our dear husband, dad, grandad, and father in law.
We are deeply grateful to our family, friends, neighbours and those who travelled to be with us during the wake and attended the funeral and burial, the volume of people over the three days was truly heart warming and was a great comfort to our family in our time of need.
We also extend sincere thanks to those who sent cards, messages and donations.
To our neighbours and friends who provided food and refreshments during the wake and to those who helped with the parking your kindness and generosity was very much appreciated.
Thank you to The Harbour Restaurant for your generous donation of food during the wake.
A special thanks to the staff of Letterkenny University Hospital for their wonderful care and kindness that was shown to George and
his family in his final days. Also to Dr. Blair, Dr. O'Doherty, Dr. Kardos, the Nurses and staff of Donegal Town primary care center, thank you for all the care and respect shown to our family down through the years.
The Rev. Sean Mc Clafferty who was with us in the final hours and provided us with pastoral care, your presence gave a deep sense of peace and comfort at a very difficult time.
The Very Rev. Liz Fitzgerald who spent so much time with the family over the wake and funeral, your spiritual
support brought our family great comfort and your words during the funeral service brought peace to our hearts.
Thank you to Zara Leslie who provided us with beautiful music during the funeral service.
Dorians Hotel Ballyshannon, who provided a lovely lunch after the funeral and burial, Thank you.
A sincere Thank you to Irwin's Funeral Directors for their professional, dignified and caring manner that was shown during the wake and funeral.
Also to the grave diggers who prepared Georges final resting place with such care and respect.
