ππ¦ Little insect explorers at βs Little Learners π¦π
Last week we stepped into the fascinating world of insects and discovered just how amazing these tiny creatures can be πΏβ¨
π The children explored a variety of insects, learning their names and talking about their special features β wings, antennae, legs and colourful patterns
π We created cheerful caterpillars using rainbow stones, carefully following patterns and developing early sequencing skills. Then the children used their imagination to design their own unique caterpillars full of colour and personality β¨
π‘ Using kinetic sand, the children built cosy homes for their insects and decorated them encouraging creativity, problem-solving and imaginative play
π Through all these activities, we practised fine motor skills, concentration and creative thinking while having lots of fun along the way π
A wonderful theme full of curiosity, exploration and hands-on learning! ππΌ
π‘ Try at home:
π Go on a mini bug hunt in the garden and see how many different insects you can find
π Create caterpillar patterns using buttons, blocks or coloured objects from around the house
π‘ Build a bug hotel using sticks, leaves, pinecones and other natural materials
