Royal Homecare | Exclusive Placement | Sandymount, Dublin 4 | August 2026
We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a warm, well-established private family in Sandymount, Dublin 4, who are seeking an experienced and professional live-out nanny to join their home from August 2026.
About the family
The household includes four children. The role focuses primarily on the two youngest, aged 2 and almost 3, with their older siblings (aged 5 and 8) largely independent. The family has extensive experience employing nannies and maternity professionals, and they take genuine pride in the working environment they create. Their current nanny has been with them for two years, a reflection of the consistency, respect, and professionalism that defines this household.
About the role
This is a full-time, live-out position, Monday to Friday, running approximately 8:00am to 7:00pm. The children attend Montessori each morning from 8:30am to 1:00pm, creating a natural rhythm within the day and genuine breathing room before the afternoon routine begins. A weekend nanny covers Friday to Sunday, ensuring that personal time is clearly protected and the role remains balanced and sustainable.
Key responsibilities
— Supporting the children through their full daily routine, morning through to bedtime
— Preparing nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks
— Planning and facilitating stimulating, developmentally informed activities
— Managing Montessori drop-off, pick-up, and afternoon transitions
— Maintaining a calm, nurturing, and well-organised nursery environment
— Occasional overnight support where required — infrequent and fully reflected in the salary package
— Accompanying the family on international travel each year
What the role offers
— Competitive salary, commensurate with experience (discussed confidentially on application)
— Four weeks' paid annual leave, arranged collaboratively
— International travel opportunities, fully expensed
— Overnight and travel compensation included within the package
— A stable, long-term position within a warm, professionally run home
Who we are looking for
— A qualified nanny holding a relevant and recognised childcare qualification
— Demonstrable experience working with toddlers, ideally within a private household setting
— Current paediatric first aid certification
— A calm, confident approach to routine, boundaries, and child development
— Flexibility and genuine enthusiasm for family travel
— Full fluency in English; a valid driving licence is desirable
