🐎 Creativity in Full Gallop at Oakwood Lodge Nursing Home 🐎

Our talented Residents recently enjoyed another wonderful Arts & Crafts session with our guest artist, Tracey, where the theme was "Horses at the Galway Races." 🖌️✨

Inspired by one of Ireland's most famous racing festivals, our Residents created some truly beautiful and colourful artwork reflecting their own creativity, imagination and artistic flair.

A huge thank you to Tracey for sharing her talent and making every session such an enjoyable and inspiring experience. 💙

Well done to all of our wonderful artists – your masterpiece is something to be very proud of! 👏🎨🐴

🛍️ A wonderful shopping day at Oakwood Lodge Nursing Home 💕👗 when Debbie and Katie from Pop-Up Boutique – Funky Affordable Fashion brought their fabulous boutique to our Residents💖

They had such a wonderful time browsing beautiful clothing and accessories, choosing their favourite pieces, and enjoying the simple pleasure of shopping once again. 🥰👜

🎂 Happy 95th Birthday, Vera 🎂

Everyone at Oakwood Lodge Nursing Home was delighted to celebrate a very special milestone as our wonderful resident, Vera , marked her 95th birthday.

It was a truly memorable occasion, made even more special by the presence of Vera's family, who joined her to celebrate the birthday. There were smiles, laughter, birthday wishes and, of course, a delicious birthday cake 🎂 to mark the occasion.

From all of your friends and the team at Oakwood Lodge, we wish you a very Happy 95th Birthday, Vera. Here's to many more happy memories, good health and celebrations ahead 🥰

A Beautiful Gift from the Heart

We were absolutely delighted to receive this wonderful hand-drawn picture, lovingly created by Alen, the talented son of our staff member Biju. The artwork beautifully captures our Director of Nursing alongside our lovely resident, Bridget and her family, and has brought so many smiles to everyone here.

Acts of kindness like this remind us that our home is more than just a place to live and work—it's a community filled with compassion, creativity, and thoughtfulness.

A huge thank you for sharing your amazing talent with us. We will cherish this special gift for years to come.

We also received a thank-you note from James McGowan, a respite resident - thank you, James; it was a pleasure to have you here at Oakwood Lodge Nursing Home.

Our residents enjoyed a fantastic arts and crafts session with the wonderful Tracey, spending an afternoon recently creating beautiful artwork and enjoying each other's company. 🎨

We were also deeply touched to receive a beautiful thank you note from Freida, who recently stayed with us for convalescent care. Her thoughtful words meant so much to our entire team. It is a privilege to care for those who stay with us, and knowing we have helped someone on their road to recovery is the greatest compliment we could receive.

Thank you, Freida, for your kindness. We wish you continued good health and happiness, and we look forward to welcoming Tracey back for more creative afternoons with our residents.

🎂 Happy Birthday, Bridget! 🎂🎉

We love celebrating our residents' birthdays here at Oakwood Lodge Nursing Home, and Bridget's special day was filled with smiles, laughter, and lots of love.

Bridget celebrated with her family, fellow residents, and our wonderful staff. There was delicious cake, plenty of singing of 'Happy Birthday', and heartfelt birthday wishes all around. Bridget took all the attention in her stride and enjoyed a slice of birthday cake with a cup of tea.
