☀️🐴 As temperatures rise over the coming days, make sure your horse has constant access to plenty of clean, fresh water. Horses can lose significant amounts of fluid and electrolytes through sweating, especially during exercise, travel, or turnout in warm weather.
Signs of dehydration can include dullness, reduced performance, and decreased skin elasticity. Regularly check and clean water troughs and buckets to encourage drinking.
During hotter periods, supplementing with electrolytes can help replace essential salts lost through sweat and support hydration and recovery. 💧
