A full postural assessment and consultation will indicate areas of dysfunction and/or tension that if left can begin to accumulate into inju

ry. The aims of the treatments include:
Injury prevention
Increased range of motion
Release of tension and stress
Reduction of scar tissue
Reduction of muscle stiffness
Increased injury recovery process
Increased blood circulation and lymphatic flow
Restoration of muscle length and balance
Improvement of posture
Improvement of flexibility

The first session includes a full postural and range of motion assessment. A variety of muscles and muscle groups will be tested and we will discuss any areas of pain or discomfort. The treatment will then be focused on these areas to provide the client with some relief of restriction and/or pain. I am certified in Remedial/Sports Massage, Myofascial Cupping, Electro Dry Needling, Myoskeletal Alignment Therapy, IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization), Kinesio Taping

Are you experiencing any discomfort related to a scar?

Scars can often be compared to icebergs - what you see on the surface is just a small part of the bigger picture. Beneath the surface, there’s much more going on.

A helpful analogy is imagining wearing a t-shirt with twisted seams or tights that have a twist in them - how uncomfortable and distracting that would be.

Now, imagine that twist isn’t just on the surface but embedded deep within the body’s fascia potentially affecting movement in your limbs, head, neck or even your ability to breathe.

Whilst a scar is a sign that your body is healing, it can also lead to issues like numbness, tightness, pain, muscle weakness, or nerve damage.

If you are experiencing any of these problems, scar tissue release therapy can be incredibly beneficial. This treatment helps reduce pain, release adhesions, improve posture, diminish the appearance of the scar, and accelerate the healing process.

Popliteus tendinopathy is a rare overuse injury affecting the popliteus tendon, located at the back and outside of the knee

The tendon becomes irritated due to overuse or repetitive rotational stress on the knee.

Pain is typically localised to the outer back aspect of the knee and worsens with running, downhill walking, or twisting movements.

Who is most affected?

•Runners and trail runners

•Athletes in football, rugby, basketball, and skiing

•Less common in the general population due to its sport-specific demands

Symptoms of Popliteus Tendinopathy

•Localised pain in the back and outside of the knee

•Pain worsens when running downhill or twisting

•Tenderness over the lateral posterior knee

•Mild swelling in chronic cases

If you are experiencing any of the above symptoms, please contact us to schedule an appointment. You can call or text us on

Treatment Feedback

When the body undergoes stress, whether it’s from physical activities, poor posture, emotional tension, or injury, muscles can respond by tensing up.

This tension can lead to the formation of localized areas of contracted muscle fibers known as trigger points or muscle knots.

These trigger points can cause a variety of effects on the body:

1. Pain: Trigger points can be painful, either locally or in referred areas. They might cause aching, sharp pain, or a dull discomfort.

2. Limited Range of Motion: Muscles affected by trigger points can restrict movement and flexibility. This limitation often affects nearby joints and can lead to stiffness.

3. Weakness: Muscles containing trigger points might weaken due to the constant contraction and lack of relaxation.

4. Postural Changes: Prolonged stress in certain muscles can alter posture, causing imbalances and potentially leading to further pain or discomfort in other parts of the body.

5. Nerve Compression: Trigger points can compress nerves, leading to tingling, numbness, or radiating pain.

Overall, the presence of trigger points can significantly impact daily activities and decrease overall well-being by causing discomfort and limiting mobility.

We targets these specific areas to release tension, encourage relaxation, improve blood flow, and restore normal muscle function. This can alleviate the effects of stored stress in the muscles and promote better overall physical comfort and movement.

Neck pain? Don't just put up with it.

Neck pain has become one of the most common reasons people walk through our door. Whether it's from long days at the computer, working from home, poor sleep, stress or simply waking up with a stiff neck, it can make even the simplest things frustrating.

One of the biggest benefits of seeing a manual therapist is that we don't just chase where it hurts.

We'll assess how your neck is moving, but also look at your shoulders, upper back and posture to work out what's contributing to the problem in the first place. Often the source of the pain isn't exactly where you're feeling it.

Hands-on treatment aims to restore movement to stiff joints, reduce muscle tension and help your body move more freely. We combine this with simple advice and exercises so you're not relying on treatment alone.

If you've been living with neck pain, nerve irritation and recurring headaches or stiffness that just won't settle, it might be time to find out why it's happening rather than just masking the symptoms.

Your neck doesn't have to feel this way forever.

🚨 Your Spine’s Silent Drama:

The 4 Stages of Disc Herniation

Think your back pain is “just a tweak”? It might be your spinal disc throwing a full-on rebellion. Here’s the progression most people don’t know about — until it’s too late.

Stage 1: Bulging / Degeneration

The disc starts drying out and losing its cushion. It bulges outward like a tire about to pop… but hasn’t torn yet. Often no major pain — just stiffness or mild ache. Your wake-up call!

Stage 2: Protrusion / Prolapse
The inner gel pushes harder against the outer wall. It’s starting to poke out but still contained. This is when that shooting leg or arm pain often shows up. Nerve irritation is real.

Stage 3: Extrusion
The gel breaks THROUGH the outer wall but stays connected. Now we’re talking serious inflammation and often intense sciatica or weakness. Your body’s yelling for help.

Stage 4: Sequestration

The disc fragment fully breaks off and floats in the spinal canal. This can cause massive nerve compression… or sometimes (weirdly) sudden relief if pressure releases.

Early stages respond amazingly to physical therapy , posture fixes, core strength, and smart movement. Even later stages often improve without surgery.

Don’t wait for Stage 4 to see a doctor. Lift smart, move daily, and strengthen that core like your spine depends on it.

Are you struggling the lower back pain when cycling? 🚴‍♀️

Do these symptoms sound familiar?

You may be experiencing a sharp pain or ache in the lower part of the back, which can radiate to the buttock and thighs.

This can be accompanied with a feeling of stiffness when getting up from sitting.

Lower back pain is a very common condition affecting up to 60% of all cyclists at some point.

Low back pain is often the result of sustained posture with decreased flexibility in the hips.

We can help you with your lower back pain

Still dealing with stubborn heel pain?

If orthotics, injections, and rest haven’t brought lasting relief from your plantar fasciitis, it may be time to look beyond the foot.

Myotherapy can help address contributing factors such as tight calves, overloaded foot muscles, and dysfunctional movement patterns that may keep putting strain on the plantar fascia.

Rather than simply focusing on temporary symptom relief, we work to reduce tension, restore movement, and address the underlying issues contributing to your pain.

If you’re tired of temporary fixes and ready to explore a different approach, this could be the missing piece.
