We’re delighted to share that Dr Antonio Lains, Consultant Psychiatrist at Highfield Healthcare, recently participated in the Royal College of Psychiatrists Digital Psychiatry SIG Spring Conference 2026 in London.

Bringing together leaders from healthcare, technology, and regulation, the conference focused on the evolving landscape of digital mental health.

As part of the programme, Dr Lains chaired a roundtable on the journey from innovation to real-world impact exploring how new approaches and technologies can be effectively implemented in clinical practice.

Discussions spanned innovation in care delivery, research, governance, and the practical challenges of translating new developments into everyday healthcare settings.

We’re proud to support Dr Lains’ contribution to advancing innovation in mental healthcare across Ireland.

Today, we celebrate International Nurses’ Day.

At Highfield Healthcare, our nurses and student nurses are at the very core of everything we do. Their expertise, compassion, and constant dedication shape the care we provide and make a lasting difference in the lives of our patients, their families, and our wider community.
This year’s theme, “Our Nurses, Our Future: Empowered Nurses Save Lives,” truly reflects the vital role our nursing teams play every day. Their commitment doesn’t just support recovery, it drives it.
We are deeply grateful for your resilience, professionalism, and the humanity you bring to every interaction. Highfield Healthcare is stronger because of you.

We are delighted to share that Highfield Healthcare Mental Health Services is taking part in the National Mental Health Experience Survey.

Service users who have been discharged from our Mental Health Acute Units between 1st April and 30th June 2026 will be eligible to complete a survey asking about their recent experience of care in our inpatient environment.

All survey responses will be anonymised and combined to produce reports on people’s experiences of inpatient mental health care in Ireland, which will be made publicly available.

The findings will help identify what is working well and what can be improved in inpatient mental health care across Ireland.

The National Care Experience Programme (NCEP) is running the survey.

The NCEP is a partnership between the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA), the Health Service Executive (HSE), the Mental Health Commission (MHC) and the Department of Health.

🌿 Three Leaves. Leadership in practice. 🌿

We’re proud to share that Highfield Healthcare has achieved 3 Leaves in the LeafMark™️ framework, recognising the completion of Green Skills Levels 1–3 and a people-led approach to sustainability.
This milestone reflects the strength of a collaborative partnership between Highfield Healthcare, fifty_shades_greener, and kildareandwicklowetb

Since September 2025, sustainability at Highfield has evolved from a compliance requirement into an embedded way of thinking – shaping culture, strategy, governance, and day-to-day decision-making. Through structured training and open engagement, teams have built real capability and confidence, strengthening both staff experience and the quality of care delivered to service users 💚

This achievement highlights the value of lifelong learning and accessible education pathways, supported through the SOLAS Skills to Advance Fund 🎓

Thank you to KWETB Training Services for their continued support, and congratulations to everyone at Highfield Healthcare for the leadership and commitment shown throughout the journey.👏

We’re incredibly excited to continue this journey in the weeks and months ahead, as we work collaboratively to help lead the way in sustainability across the private healthcare sector.
