Join UCD Library and UCD Access and Lifelong Learning UCD Access & Lifelong Learning for a joint presentation during National Heritage Week offering a behind-the-scenes look at the National Folklore Collection as it prepares for relocation to UCD’s James Joyce Library.

Jonny Dillon, Director of the NFC, will introduce the collection, its history and scope, while Julia Poirier, UCD Book and Paper Conservator, will share insights into the careful work of rehousing and preparing the material for its move next year. Together, they will trace the journey of the collection into its next chapter.

This talk takes place on Wednesday, 19 August at 10.30am in the James Joyce Library. Part of UCD Lifelong Learning Taster Week 2026.
