REAL LIFE CASE OF ONE OF MY ANXIETY CLIENTS โค๏ธ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ โค๏ธ
Jim is a business man involved in the construction industry. Before the financial crash he employed a hundred people and during the financial crash his creditors found themselves unable to pay their bill and debts due to Jim .
He was in a very perilous position to say the least, he had a wife and child who depended greatly on him. He had to decide to let fifty per cent of his employees go to start with and then another 20 afterwards. Work was slowing down to a snails pace, Jim spent his days and nights worrying and trying to keep the business afloat. He hardly ever spent time with his wife and son because his back was so against the wall he needed every spare minute to keep the balls juggling in the air. His son began to make strange with him and barely recognised him. Jim was too busy to notice.
Jim managed to stay afloat just about and after a couple of years he was back to making a decent living and profit. That was when still began to catch up with him. His mental health had stood up to the pressure whilst he was busy keeping everything going but just when he should have been able to relax and find some peace and calm his mind had other ideas. It just would not let him relax and enjoy his spare time, there was always some niggling right at the back of his head telling him it was not safe or sensible to rest now. He became exhausted and riddled with anxiety and stress, he even contemplated taking his own life to get away from constantly feeling under pressure. He couldnโt understand what was going on.
Jim came to see me as a last resort, a friend had recommended he come to see me but Jim was dubvious. I explained to him that during the crash his mind had learned to thrive temporarily on adrenaline. His system had gotten used to being on constant alert and jumping over obstacles but now that the emergency was over Jim didnโt know how to climb down from that adrenaline boost that kept him on high alert and highly anxious.
It was a though Jim had borrowed the strength to keep going during the crash from somewhere and not the debt was being called in. Hie mind had supported him fully when he needed it and now it was time to start learning how to calm and reassure his mind when it became stressed.
Jim learned that he had been running on empty and it was time to fill up the tank again. It was time to settle the debt he owed to his constant ally , his mind. Jim learned how to relax at will during the 3 sessions he spent with me and recommended me to many people afterward. A recommendation rom Jim was high praise indeed.
