Shirley Bonass has been working with Frontline Make Change since 2024. Based in our Inchicore service, she co-facilitates the women’s group and SMART Recovery group, alongside providing one-to-one keyworking in her role as an addiction practitioner.

Our organisation has grown and evolved a lot in recent years - and it's time to reintroduce ourselves!

- Started in 1999 as the Inchicore Comunity Drug Team
- Expanded in 2004 to become the Inchicore Bluebell Community Addiction Team.
- Renamed in 2018 as Frontline Make Change

Today we offer:
- The Children's Project - preschool and afterschool to support clients attending our service
- Frontline Bikes - a social enterprise that provides training and employment opportunities
- 4 addiction teams in Dublin

As we prepare for the next Connections group - a 12-week stabilisation programme - it’s nice to take a moment to reflect on a previous client’s positive experience and the progress they made. The programme is aimed at individuals in recovery from substance misuse, or those who are motivated to change their substance use.

It focuses on four key areas of development: Stabilisation; Health (Personal & Mental); Personal Development; and Progression & Choices.

Participants have weekly one-to-one check-ins to support them throughout the 12 weeks and to help identify their next steps upon completion of the programme. This may involve starting a CE programme, returning to education or employment, or a referral into treatment.

The Connections Programme is based in our Bluebell office, Dublin 12, and can be accessed by anyone living in the Dublin area. If you are interested in taking part, please call us on 01 473 6502.

MEN'S GROUP in Bluebell on Thursday: a relaxed group focused on connection, support, and visible recovery in the community. Food, hot drinks, games, sports activities, and music provided.

WOMEN'S GROUP in Inchicore on Friday: explore a healthier way of life through holistic practices, including art therapy, mindfulness, reiki, and by creating meaningful connection.
