Cochran (née Cruise), Maura Ann - late of Dublin. Passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, 29th July 2026, in her 86th year.



Born on 29th September 1939, Maura was the mother of Chris Cochran (Amy) and Sonia Fraley, and grandmother to Grant Christopher Cochran, Michael, Jonathan, Keifer, Brendan, Bridgette, Christian, and Caleb Fraley. She was also a great-grandmother to fourteen and a great-great-grandmother to two. Maura is predeceased by her parents, Mary Anne and Patrick Christopher Cruise, and by her sisters, Rita Halpin and Bernadette “Bernie” Ward. She will be remembered by family and friends across Ireland, Canada, and the United States.



A proud daughter of Dublin, Maura carried her Irish heritage throughout her life with independence, humour, and a strong spirit. Her legacy continues through the generations who hold their own memories of her.



Maura’s Requiem Mass will take place at the Church of St. Augustine and St. John, 94-96, Thomas Street, Usher’s Quay, Dublin 8, on 27th August at 11:00am, followed by Cremation in Glasnevin Crematorium Chapel.

Margaret (Peggy) Thompson (née Dowling), Finglas, formerly of Drumcondra, Co. Dublin. Passed away on 10th August 2026 peacefully at Blanchardstown Hospital. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Walter (Wally), as well as her siblings, Nuala, May, Stephen, and Paddy.



Peggy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Deirdre, Wally Jr., and Tracy, her grandchildren, Kevin, Aisling, Alanna, Allyson, and Conor, her great-grandchildren, Noah and Luca, her daughter-in-law, Joan, and her grandchildren-in-law, Fernanda and Stephen.
