2025 was a year of growth, milestones, and meaningful moments for The Rutland Centre.

We opened our new medical alcohol and co***ne detox unit in October 2025, a major step forward in strengthening our treatment services and broadening our reach.

50 early birds joined us for Sunrise on Sugarloaf, climbing before dawn to support our work, and we're so grateful to everyone who donated.

At our Medallion Ceremony in the National Concert Hall, we celebrated almost 100 people for reaching their first year of recovery, alongside special recognitions for 11, 16, 20 and 36 years of sobriety.

Behind the scenes, we renewed our CHKS accreditation, with strong praise for how we handle confidentiality, dignity, and consent.

Every milestone here reflects the same thing: people choosing recovery, and a community showing up to support them. Thank you for being part of it.

Recovery is made up of small, everyday moments, and they all add up.

In 2025, our team answered 16,345 phone calls, often the first, hardest step someone takes in reaching out for help.

We delivered 5,545 bed nights, giving people a safe place to stay while they focused on getting well.

And we served 16,635 meals, because looking after the whole person means looking after the basics too.

None of this happens without the people behind it, our staff, our volunteers, and our supporters. Thank you for helping us show up, day after day.

Recovery doesn't just happen in the room, it ripples outward.

One of our Aftercare Volunteers recently spoke about watching relationships that were once broken find their way back to trust. Engagements, weddings, new babies- all part of the recovery journey they get to witness from the sidelines.

That's the quiet privilege of volunteering with us: seeing life carry on, and carry on well.

To our Aftercare Volunteers, thank you for being part of that journey with our clients.

Every number here represents real people, and real progress.

In 2025, 97% of people who completed residential treatment engaged in our transition programme, and 85% who completed outpatient treatment went straight into Continuing Care. Our new Detox Programme, which opened late in the year, saw a 100% completion rate.

Recovery doesn't stop at treatment. 69% of people who progressed into Continuing Care after residential treatment are still in active recovery, and a further 16% are still in recovery, supported by services outside our centre.

58 people were supported through our Stabilisation Group this year, with 52% moving on to mainstream Continuing Care.

This is what sustained, whole-person support looks like. Thank you to everyone who trusted us with their recovery journey.

Hope, love, peace. 🌱

Painted by clients as part of our new Nature-Based Therapy pilot, these planters are more than just pretty pots, they’re a symbol of the growth happening in every session.

Nature-based work helps reduce stress, build connection, and create healthy routines that last well beyond treatment.

It's Recovery Month 2026 and for us here that can only mean one thing - Medallion Ceremony at the National Concert Hall, Dublin!

We had the most inspiring day there on Sunday celebrating 100 incredible people and their families, as well as acknowledging the work of our volunteers aftercare facilitators with a special presentation!

There were tears, laughs. highs and lows but we all came away with gratitude for today, and hope for tomorrow! People do recover from addiction every day and we saw that in abundance yesterday.

Congratulations to the 90+ recipients of their first full year medallion, and to those who were awarded medallions for 11, 16, 20, and 36 years!
