🧠Why do we combine balancing, dual-tasking, and rhythmic pod tapping to a metronome?
This type of Functional Neurology training challenges multiple brain networks at the same time. While balancing and tapping to a precise beat, your brain must coordinate timing, attention, motor planning, inhibition, and reaction speed.
For individuals with ADHD, these exercises may help strengthen the brain systems involved in:
✅ Prefrontal cortex – focus, impulse control & executive function
✅ Cerebellum – timing, coordination & movement accuracy
✅ Basal ganglia – motor control, habit formation & initiation
✅ Supplementary motor area – movement sequencing
✅ Parietal cortex – body awareness & spatial processing
✅ Corpus callosum – communication between both brain hemispheres
When the brain learns to process movement, balance, and rhythm simultaneously, it can improve reaction time, inhibitory control, attention, and motor timing.
Small movements. Big brain challenge. 🧠⚡
