There are way too many people in pain unnecessarily, unable to do the things that they enjoy.
Too many people are told to stop, rest, and avoid any pain.
When you first experience pain or injury, who you go to first has a massive impact.
Doctors are way too busy and have far too varied a workload to help you with pain or injury. Go to the doctor if you are sick, not injured.
Doing less as we age has a much greater negative impact on us than when we are younger and naturally more active.
Pain does not mean you are injured, and if you do less and less and are overprotective and rest, two things will happen.
1. Your pain will go away only to return when you do a bit more than usual. ( And then what do you do?)
2. You will experience your pain more frequently, and it will take less and less to cause pain.
Both of these options take you further and further away from your goals and the activity levels you need.
It does not have to be this way.
If you have pain for a couple of months and want to continue doing all the things that are important to you please reach out by DM, look at our website www.painandperformanceclinic.ie or email [email protected] to set up an initial chat.
