Small movements, big difference. 💙💪🏼

Our wonderful carer Viviana, who holds a degree in Physiotherapy with specialist training in geriatrics, guides her client Mary through simple hand and wrist exercises using a towel.

From side-to-side movements to scrunching and releasing, these exercises help encourage mobility, movement and strength in the hands and wrists — all while making exercise part of everyday care. 💙

At Applewood Homecare, our Homecare Assistants complete a Skills Practical Training Programme as part of their induction.
Led by Kate (Care Manager), Cintia (Care Manager Assistant) and Sarah Jane (Supervisor), this programme has been designed to equip our new team members with the knowledge, confidence and practical skills they need to provide the highest standard of care to their clients. ✍️
Through hands-on, practical learning, our team are supported to develop the skills needed to deliver safe, compassionate and person-centred care. 💙
We’re proud to invest in our team and ensure they feel prepared and confident from day one. 🤗
