If you’re about to start IVF, I want you to know something.

Preparing your body is just as important as preparing your medication schedule.

The quality of your eggs, the health of your uterine lining, your sleep, your nutrition and your stress levels all matter.

The eggs collected during your IVF cycle have been developing for around 90 days before collection.

That’s why I encourage women to start supporting their fertility before treatment begins whenever possible.

Acupuncture works alongside your fertility clinic, not instead of it.

My goal is to help your body respond as well as it possibly can to treatment and to support you emotionally throughout the process.

IVF can feel overwhelming.

You don’t have to go through it without support.

IVF is about more than medication.

Preparing your body in the months beforehand can make a meaningful difference to how you feel throughout treatment and helps optimise the environment for the eggs and uterus.

Last night I had the privilege of viewing the premier of hosted by -ie in . It’s such a powerful portrayal of what our Endo warriors have to go through to be seen and heard - often being disbelieved or ignored.

It’s such a moving piece that earned them a well deserved standing ovation.

I wish them well in promoting this to every female suffering with Endo and also to their supporting network of family and friends.

Next step ! 🥳

One of the questions I love hearing is, ‘How will I know if the treatments are working?’

There are lots of encouraging signs.

Your menstrual cycle becomes more regular.

Your cervical mucus becomes clearer and more abundant around ovulation.

Your PMS improves.

You sleep better.

Your energy increases.

You feel calmer and more resilient.

These are all signs that your hormones are becoming more balanced and your body is moving towards better reproductive health.

Pregnancy is the goal, of course, but these improvements tell us we’re heading in the right direction.

Every positive change is worth celebrating.

A healthier body is preparing for a healthy pregnancy.

✨Blood flow is one of the most important things I think about when treating fertility.

Your blood carries oxygen and nutrients to your ovaries, where your eggs are developing, and to your uterus, where implantation takes place.

If circulation isn’t optimal, your reproductive organs simply don’t receive everything they need.

Acupuncture has been shown to increase blood flow to the uterus and ovaries.

Better circulation supports healthier follicles, a thicker uterine lining and a more receptive environment for implantation.

Remember, every egg is developing over approximately 90 days.

Improving circulation today helps nourish the eggs you’ll ovulate in the future.

✨Healthy circulation supports healthy eggs, a healthy lining and a healthy pregnancy.

There are so many fertility myths online that I think create unnecessary fear.

One is that if you’ve been trying for a while, there’s nothing more you can do.

Another is that fertility is only about age.

Or that stress alone causes infertility.

The truth is much more nuanced.

Age matters, but so does egg quality, hormone balance, blood flow, nutrition, sleep, inflammation and overall health.

That’s why I look at the whole picture.

Your body is constantly changing and adapting.

Every healthy choice you make today helps support the eggs that are developing over the next three months.

Your fertility isn’t fixed.

It’s something we can actively support.

Don’t let myths take away your hope.

Knowledge is one of the most powerful fertility tools you have.

One of the things I love most about Traditional Chinese Medicine is that it doesn’t just look at your diagnosis.

It looks at you.

Two women may both have PCOS or be going through IVF, but their treatment plans may be completely different because their bodies are different.

Chinese Medicine looks at your menstrual cycle, digestion, sleep, stress, energy levels, body temperature, emotions and so much more.

Instead of treating one symptom, we’re looking for the root cause of why your body isn’t functioning optimally.

When we restore balance throughout the whole body, fertility often improves naturally.

That’s why every treatment I give is personalised.

Because you deserve care that’s designed specifically for you.

The best fertility treatment is never one-size-fits-all.

Your body is unique, and your treatment should be too.

I hear women say to me all the time, ‘I’ve always had PMS, so I thought it was normal.’

The truth is, although PMS is common, it shouldn’t be something you simply have to put up with.

Symptoms like mood swings, breast tenderness, headaches, bloating, irritability or severe cramps are often signs that your hormones aren’t working in harmony.

For me, PMS is valuable information. It’s your body giving us clues about what may be happening during the second half of your cycle, when progesterone should be supporting implantation and preparing the uterus for pregnancy.

If you’re trying to conceive, I don’t just want to help you get pregnant. I want to improve the quality of every menstrual cycle because every healthy cycle is another opportunity for your body to produce healthy eggs and prepare for pregnancy.

Remember, the eggs you’ll ovulate three months from now are developing today. By supporting your hormones now with acupuncture, nutrition and lifestyle changes, we’re creating the healthiest possible environment for those eggs to mature.

Never ignore what your body is trying to tell you.”

✨PMS isn’t something you should simply accept.✨

It’s often one of the first clues that your hormones need support.

Listen to your body—it has an incredible story to tell.

The two week wait can be one of the most challenging parts of the fertility journey.

After ovulation, progesterone rises to support implantation.

During this time, your body is doing an incredible amount of work behind the scenes.

My advice?

Focus on nourishment.

Sleep.

Gentle movement.

Stress reduction.

And trust.

The hard work has already been done.

Now it’s about supporting your body while it does what it was designed to do.

The two week wait isn’t passive.

Your body is working hard.

Support it with kindness.

Your thyroid is like the thermostat for your entire body.

It influences metabolism, energy, ovulation, and hormone production.

Even subtle thyroid imbalances can affect fertility.

That’s why I always review thyroid markers when assessing fertility.

Symptoms like fatigue, feeling cold, hair loss, irregular cycles, and difficulty conceiving can all point towards thyroid dysfunction.

Supporting thyroid health often has a positive impact on fertility.

✨Never underestimate the role your thyroid plays in reproductive health.✨

This is one of the most common questions I hear.

Can acupuncture improve egg quality?

While we can’t change your age, we can influence the environment your eggs develop in.

Eggs mature over approximately 90 days.

During that time they’re affected by blood flow, inflammation, nutrition, stress levels, and hormone balance.

Acupuncture improves circulation to the ovaries and supports healthy hormone function.

Many women notice improvements in cycle quality, energy, sleep, and overall wellbeing during treatment.

My goal is always to help your body create the healthiest eggs possible, by reducing stress levels, increasing blood flow to the ovaries and uterus, and improving diet and lifestyle factors.

You can’t change your age.

But you can improve the environment your eggs develop in.
