“Bluebird, you teach our hearts to sing again…
Bluebird, you turn our grey skies blue.” 💙🎶

What began as a poem written by a Bluebird Care client became something much more — a song inspired by his own experience of care and the difference Bluebird Care made in his life.

Ahead of the official launch of the Bluebird Care Anthem on 27 August, we’re sharing a first glimpse of the story behind the song, told through his family and the Bluebird Care carer who was there from the very beginning.

A deeply personal story. A very special song. And one we can’t wait to share with you.

Up to €19.00 per hour on Sundays
€16.50 per hour Monday–Saturday for qualified applicants with 2+ years' experience
€300 Signing Bonus – paid on completion of probation
€400 Refer-a-Friend Bonus

Premium Sunday and half-hour rates
Civil Service Travel Rates with NO MAXIMUM
All shadowing calls are paid at your normal hourly rate
Guaranteed rosters – if a scheduled call is cancelled and we cannot replace it, you will still be paid

💙 Who We're Looking For

We're looking for people who are:

✔️ Caring, honest and patient
✔️ Experienced in caring, either professionally or within a family setting
✔️ Fluent in English
✔️ Eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland
✔️ Willing to complete Garda Vetting
✔️ Able to provide suitable character references

QQI Level 5 Healthcare qualification is preferred, but don't worry if you don't have it yet. If you have caring experience and the right attitude, we can provide free QQI training in Care Skills and Care of the Elderly.

🚗 A full clean Irish/EU driving licence is essential for Wicklow locations.

💶 Rates of Pay

Full QQI + Care Skills & Care of the Elderly + 2 years' experience
€16.50 Mon–Sat | €19.00 Sunday

Full QQI including Care Skills & Care of the Elderly
€16.25 Mon–Sat | €18.75 Sunday

Care Skills & Care of the Elderly OR full QQI without these modules
€15.50 Mon–Sat | €18.00 Sunday

We can provide free training in QQI Care Skills and Care of the Elderly. An interim rate of €14.50 Mon–Sat | €17.00 Sunday applies while completing the required training.

We’re proud to be introducing Cloda across Bluebird Care Ireland in Partnership with HCI 💙

Cloda is an AI-powered digital assistant that will give more than 2,500 of our carers and support staff instant access to our approved policies, procedures and quality guidance while working in the community.

Whether it’s a question around safeguarding, infection prevention and control, or everyday care processes, our teams can access clear guidance directly from their mobile device.

For us, this is about making the right information easier to access, supporting our carers in their roles and helping us continue to deliver safe, consistent and high-quality care across Ireland.
